Hiking on path of the gods with "Lady Bug" (local guide)

Nocelle, Italy

Experience hosted by Saveria

5 hours
Includes food
Up to 10 people
Hosted in Italian, English

What you'll do

I was born and raised in Positano, on the Amalfi Coast. I will take you with me to discover the path that everyone knows as "Path of Gods": one of the most spectacular views of southern Italy. I will show you, however, that that was for my ancestors much more: one of the pedestrian arteries that gave access to property and people before the construction of the road that joins Sorrento to Vietri. In this walk we could meet farmers and local breeders tasting genuine products, sometimes helping them in their tasks. We will talk about the local flora and fauna, the use of wild herbs in the culinary and phytotherapeutic fields. The leitmotiv of the walk will be the complete opening of the senses to the perception of the surrounding environment, the deepening of the traditions and customs of my country and the meeting of the custodians of the knowledge of our ancestors. To discover more about my walks, look for ladybugpositano on instagram.
Other things to note
If the guest has any fear or health problem he must communicate it first.
In high season the buses can be crowded. For those who prefer to travel comfortably we recommend a private transfer.

Where you'll be

We will walk for about 5 km (about 3h) along the Path of the Gods. We will cross the towns of Furore, Praiano and Positano. We will visit the famous "grotta del biscotto", an ancient limestone used by our ancestors, and the most beautiful views of the coastline until you lose your gaze on the extreme horizon where Capri appears with the "faraglioni".

Had a fantastic time with Saveria who felt more like a friend than a guide. She did an excellent job of taking me on the hike and had a lot of insight into the area. Greatly appreciated the bread salad she made as well. Highly recommend her for anyone visiting the Amalfi Coast

It's an excellent experience. The path of god is amazing. Saveria is really super nice and kind. We can feel that she grew here and she knows a lot of stories and plants. It was a really nice moment.

This is a MUST do when visiting Positano. Saveria is the most knowledgeable person about the area and the walk is very enjoyable. She also adds very thoughtful personal touches which make the experience very magical.

You are in for a treat. I would even say, I’ve now got a particular bug: The Lady Bug. Hiking with a young lady that knows so much about the history of this immaculate spot on earth, but also brings you a big heart and a curious anthropological mind - what else could you ask for? So then, sitting at her friends stone-built shepperds hut, high up on the Path of Gods, she prepares Caponata Amalfi style, right in front of your eyes with her own olive oil and homegrown tomatos and references ancient Greek philosophy wisdom, along the way. When she then sends you off with a little sachet of her own line of dried herbs, then my friend, you will have caught the bug. And if not, no one can really help you anymore. La Grande Bellezza!

Saveria is amazing! She was so sweet and extremely knowledgeable! Everyone that we ran into while on our hike, referred to her as the best and had such kind things to say about her. She went above and beyond on our tour and threw in multiple little surprises! We really connected with her and had the most amazing experience on our hike!
