What you'll do

You'll arrive at my Bridgeport Art Center studio where we will have coffee/tea and introduce ourselves. You'll receive a demo on how to paint with vibrant inks both abstractly and realistically. Then you will explore the techniques yourself! I provide ongoing guidance and assistance and answer any questions you may have. I'll offer granola bars half way through the experience. You will leave with 3 - 5 unique paintings of your own!
Other things to note
You will need to arrange your own transportation to the studio. Ride share compaines (Lyft or Uber) are great ways to get here. Bring an apron or old shirt; Wear clothes you don't mind getting messy.

For 30 years, I've been painting and sculpting both realistically and abstractly. I've exhibited at Slate Contemporary in Oakland, CA, Conrad Wilde Gallery in Tucson, AZ, & Adam Peck Gallery in Provincetown, MA. My work is also available online at Artsy.net through the Chicago Art Source Gallery. I love to share my experience and passion for art with others!

My husband and I did this workshop and LOVED it! It is a fun class for anyone, whether they have art experience or not. Helen gave us clear and simple instructions. The time passed quickly as we experimented with different techniques and color combinations to create our works of art. I'm looking forward to getting a group of people together to do it again!

This is a great art experience for all levels! Helen presents clear, easy methods for creating amazing and colorful works of art. She creates an encouraging, lighthearted atmosphere for exploration of the alcohol ink painting process.

Helen was awesome! This class was so much fun. Helen encouraged my daughter and I to try new things, not be so structured. She really helped us to relax and just express ourselves without thinking too much. She said there is no thing as a mistake. This class is great for beginners and for very creative people. All levels can join in. No pressure. Just have fun. I would highly recommend this class if you like to try new things and have a great time in the process.
