My parents Silvia and Luigi started to run our farm in 2000, their project was to build something for their sons Pietro (me ) and my brother Corrado. Now, we decided to go on with the family business, bringing on also the passion that we have for the wine and olive oil, two of the most important Tuscan products.
We still work all together as a family and one of our family members will welcome our clients and offer a memorable experience with natural products ( we're an organic farm in conversion to biodynamic farming) and a warm atmosphere.

Where you'll be

Podere la Marronaia is a small family-run farm in San Gimignano dedicated to the cultivation of grapes and olives and the production of wines and extra virgin olive oil. In 2000, all production was converted to an organic method of cultivation that involves the use of only natural products exploiting the natural fertility of the soil and considering the entire ecosystem.

The experice was great. We have been followed by Gessica, she as been professional, friendly, funny and very caring. We tried 4 differents type of wine, all of them very good. Also the food was well and freshly cooked. Special note for the desserts: amazing!!! The area is very closed to San Gimignano and you are surrounded by the country side. There are free car park close to the place, always a bonus.

Bellissima esperienza!

Our hostess Jessica was lovely, conveyed great knowledge of the wines intermingled with family stories and symbolism behind the naming of wines. Food was delicious. Anticipated to interact more with the family (by the description) and to get a tour/description of the Vernacchia (San Gimignano white grape) vineyard in view; however due to inaccurate directions from Google (bus schedules and routes did not match) we were late and trekked on foot from San Gimignano. Specific instructions for which buses lead to the vineyard would have improved our experience, and we may not have missed out. However, delicious wines and olive oil - especially the truffle oil! A small, less rural vineyard clearly striving to become a destination for tourists. Quick and purposeful experience. Different flavor from other less polished, traditional farm-to-table experiences, but nonetheless an enjoyable first Tuscan wine tasting.

As someone who grew up in a vineyard region and who has sampled wines all over the world, the experience was lackluster. The host (and family) did not engage with us. The experience did not include information about the wine making process or tours. Lunch felt rushed (next wine was poured before we'd finished the previous). Overall the operation felt very commercialized and overpriced- the wine and experience lacked severely compared to other experiences in the region- lacked the personal touch.
