Who are specialists in Korean food KIMCHI?
The correct answer is a skilled housewife.
More precisely is skilled grandmother.
Kimchi is a food that should be eaten throughout the winter once it is prepared.
If mother fail to prepare delicious kimchi, family should eat tasteless kimchi during the winter.
Therefore, in order to prepare delicious kimchi, grandmother's know-how is needed.

It is an opportunity to taste kimchi cooked by skilled housewife.
My mom will show you how to prepare Kimchi. I will explain in detail.
From the purchase of ingredients, to preparing and tasting all the process together.

This is a must for a visit to Seoul. Lee and Oh (and their sweet mother) guided us on how to make traditional kimchi. For 3 hours, we shopped, cooked and finally ate our final products. Every minute was fantastic. Also, the hospitality was beyond amazing! I felt so welcomed into their home. I suggest you bring some extra cash with you because you will WANT to buy some stuff at the market you’ll be brought to. Look no further, this is the kimchi experience you only need!

Our experience with the J's was amazing! We met at Changdong subway station and waked over to one of Seoul's biggest market. Here, we got to pick out the ingredients we'd be using to make the various types of kimchi. At the market, there was also a lot of time to sample different Korean dishes and even buy snacks and souvenirs. We were taxied (the other half of our group was driven) to their apartment which is where we prepared the kimchi. Before preparing, we learned about the history and context of kimchi in Korean culture. Then we got to prepare the kimchi! We were shown how to salt the cabbage. We diced radish and water celery and were shown how to season and spice these ingredients. We adjusted the spice and salt level to our personal preference. We then mixed this sauce with the cabbage. Once we finished preparing three types of kimchi we got to eat lunch and what a feast it was! The J's prepared so much food for us on top of all the kimchi we had just made. They showed us the different ways we could eat the kimchi. This lunch was more than enough for a group of 7. At the end we were able to take our kimchi back home in tupperware that they provided. The J's walked us to the bus stop at the end of our experience. The J's were very knowledgeable and friendly. This was a very unique experience and I would definitely recommend it if you're looking to do something outside of the city.
