What you'll do

I'll guide the group to Seattle's most coveted picture taking locations, some secret and some well-known, to help you get that perfect shot you've seen all over social media. You'll be able to witness and capture much of the greatness Seattle has to offer. I will also help you frame those famous shots you've seen and also serve as your photographer if you need a picture taken of yourself (with your own equipment/camera).
Other things to note
We'll walk through the streets of the city for about 3-4 miles, make sure you're up for the adventure. Bring your smile, comfortable shoes your camera or just your mobile device, either one will do.

Hi! My name is Alan Durnwirth. I'm a passionate photographer, I enjoy shooting architecture and street photography. Like many of you, I also love to travel and photograph everything I see, creating priceless memories with my camera in hand. But most of all, I love showing people my unique version of Seattle. I have lived in Seattle for 30+ years, and I have explored every nook and cranny of this awesome city. You can view some of my images on Instagram: @adurnwirth

Alan really knows the city of Seattle, having been a longtime resident. He took me to a great many areas in a relatively short amount of time. I would have spent likely weeks randomly exploring the town to get the same level of exposure to what makes Seattle architecture unique. 100% recommended!

Alan was so accommodating and really took the time to explain a lot of Seattle's architecture, points of interest and historical sites. I was really impressed with his photography skills using my Samsung phone. I got the best pictures of the city and actually learned something. Highly, highly recommend and will remember this experience for a lifetime. Thanks Alan for a great conversation along the way and making me feel safe. Alan went the extra mile!

Alan is really friendly and the pictures he took even on his iPhone were excellent! Really admire his professionalism as he hosted the tour enough though I was the only one who signed up for it that day.

I’m interested in Architectural Photography and I booked this tour months in advance. Alan was very prompt and it turned out that it was just the two of us. It was a very thoughtful and leisurely tour. Alan showed me some structures that were important to him as well as others that were more broadly interesting. I never felt rushed, Alan was patient and knowledgeable enough to give me some background historical information on the sites we visited. This walking tour was the highlight of my day and my trip to Seattle thus far. I sincerely recommend this tour to anyone interested in architecture or photography or both. Alan is great- very personable and kind. I had a great time.

The tour with Alan was amazing. Definitely saw a lot that I would not have on my own and he gave a real sense of history to everywhere we went. I got some amazing photos that I'll be able to share with friends and family.
