What you'll do

No other name could have been more appropriate for this city-harbor as it derives from the latin "hostis" (mouth). The colony is in fact located close to the outfall of the river Tiber into the Tyrrhenian Sea and played an essential role for the survival of Rome.

But it won't be a regular tour! Be prepared to something special, an upgrade of a traditional experience.. you won't be visiting an archaeological area, you'll be actively participating to the daily life of an ancient roman for one day!

We'll take a stroll along the Decumanus Maximus (main street) with several stops meant to show you the vibrant life that once animated this city.. a Caupona (tavern) or a Thermopolium (bar) to eat or for a drink to, the theater for a moment of relax and entertainment, Square of the Guilds, a business center, the forum, several public baths and the firemen barracks to discover the efficiency of the romans in preventing and extinguishing fire.

This daydream, this full immersion in the past, so easy to reach, is only 19 miles far from Rome whose chaos and noise will be easily forgotten as you approach the gate of what is called the Pompei of Rome!

Hi everyone!

My name is Ferdinando, a PhD in archaeology and an official guide of Rome since 2009.

I'm thrilled to meet you and take you around the eternal city!

I believe a tour must be an interactive experience! Your sensibility, wishes, inclinations, tastes and background become mine, an essential contribution on my next tour.

Exploring Rome with you is a moment of cultural exchange for me and a personal benefit not only as a tour guide but mainly as a person.

I meet people and I travel with my imagination and so my philosophy is that touring Rome with me is never a one-way conversation, but a chance for a reciprocal growth.
