What you'll do
Carve a Ring
You will learn how to make a beautiful piece of jewellery by using ancient Lost Wax Carving technique. It is easy and fun jewellery technique which is very accessible to people with no experience with metalworking.
During this workshop you will learn how to carve and sculpt jewellery from special jewellery waxes. You will try different wax carving and sculpting techniques and make a few wax models. Working with wax is actually much easier then working directly in metal. At the end of the session we will select one final model which would be then casted in Sterling Silver. We will also discuss how you would like your jewellery to be finished (polish, matt, oxidized).
This workshop is suitable for people without any previous experience with jewellery - this techniques is much easier then working directly with metal so anybody can do it.
All the material and tools will be provided, you don't need to bring anything.
If you have any ideas you would like to try, please feel free to bring some images. But no worry if not, most people will find this technique and material itself is fun and inspiring.
Your casted and finished ring would be ready to send to you in 3 weeks.
The session takes usually about 3 hours.
