What you'll do

You’re going to know a region of Rio de Janeiro called Pantanal Carioca due to all its diversity of fauna and flora. Our meeting point is at the subway station Jardim Oceânico (Exit A). From there, we’re going to take a boat and know the West Zone island complex, Primeira Island, Gigoia Island among others. You’ll see some animals like: Capybaras, exotic birds and, if you are lucky, alligators.

After the boat trip, we’ll go for a walk on Gigóia Island, enjoy some street arts, such as graffiti. You can also purchase products made by local people.

You’ll know some curiosities related to the Islands, our culture and the Barra da Tijuca neighborhood.

Great experience! I had no idea such tranquility existed so closeby. We saw alligators, black ducks, a huge heron and lots of birds. Then we walked through the “roads” and gardens of the main island. Highly recommended.

This experience was amazing! The boat ride was a great way to see awesome views and spot alligators and a capybara. Flávia and I had a delicious lunch and she was very easy to talk to! Would definitely recommend!

Altamente recomendado.

This was my mother’s favorite experience here in Rio! You won’t see this anywhere else. She was really patient with my mother.. the scenery is absolutely beautiful! Great way to end the trip! Save some room for lunch, although we ate... looks like some great places to eat!

Our host was Luana. She was amazing! She had high energy and was extremely knowledgeable about the islands. This airbnb experience definitely shows you a different side of Rio. We got to see alligators, big birds (I don't remember what they were called.), Capybara's (worlds largest rodents), a beautiful calm quiet island, and so much more! It was definitely worth it. Bruno was the captain of the boat. He would always pull over to ensure we got the best pictures possible. Luana would also help take pictures of us. They were very friendly personable people.
