What you'll do

We'll meet @ 9:30 am at Doc Edgar Park in Fairfax, CA, and drive up to the trailhead together. The general plan is to get out away from other folks, pause for some snacks and lunch along the way, and then be back to our meeting place by 4pm. While experiencing incredible vistas of the Bay and Marin County, I'll talk about the natural history of Marin - both the history of the people that have lived here as well as the flora and fauna that abound and the general hdyro-geological dynamics of the watershed. I'll also show you how the particular season we're in affects what we're experiencing. From my hat as a Deep Nature Guide, I'll offer you unique opportunities to connect with yourself and this place. From my hat as a born and bred Marin-ite, I'll also share personal stories and insights from my 35 years living here. There will be opportunities for sitting in stillness and quiet, authentic conversation, and many amazing photo opps. You'll leave the experience feeling refreshed and relaxed, invigorated and inspired, and connected to yourself and Nature.
Other things to note
The $100 fee is for one person for a full day outing, from 9:30am - 4pm, and includes snacks. For variations of price, based on timing, amount of people, and other perks, please contact me.

I'm a Marin County native who has explored the boundless open spaces, state parks, national parks, and watersheds of this land since my birth. About ten years ago, after some school in San Diego (BA: Biology, MA: Peace and Justice), I moved back home and began guiding people out on the land. I have worked as backpacking guide, sea kayaking guide, and deep nature mentor. I also surf, trail run, mountain bike, botanize and naturalize. I love exposing people to this ridiculous beauty, especially the unique moments or places you can't find on normal 'tours'.
