I'm Hanny, a Quechua-speaking anthropologist, I'm fascinated by research. One of my lines of study is traditional Andean medicine. At the same time, as a child, I have received the knowledge and use of medicinal plants as an inheritance from my parents; Therefore, Andean medicine is part of my culture. All this experience I would like to share with visitors during an entertaining hike through Inka roads and nature.

A once-in-a-lifetime experience. Hanny holds so much knowledge about Quechua culture and ritual, and she is a fierce advocate for indigenous communities in the region. The hike through the valley was stunning, and our day in the city was full of surprises. Muchas gracias Hanny y la Tierra!

Hanny is incredibly kind and passionate about Andean medicinal plants. I had the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn about the local species that people in this region have been using to enhance their health for generations. We started the day with a long, relaxing hike where Hanny identified and taught us about medicinal plants growing in the wild. On our breaks, she gave us great insight into Quechua culture. We then had a local lunch and explored San Pedro Market. If you want an authentic, loving experience, please take this tour!!!

Hanny has exceptional knowledge of the medicinal plants, of Andean culture, and of the area. Her work seeks to empower the voices of the Andean people, and her knowledge and guidance through Cusco is something I treasure! I loved learning about how Andean culture approaches health and being guided not only through the astounding countryside, but also through local markets. Unforgetable.

Hanny wants to share her knowledge of local herbs and plants, which are used for folk medicinal purposes for centures. It's something new to learn, touch, smell, taste, and enjoy. The experience was very educational and pleasant.

What an incredible tour! Hanny is a knowledgeable, patient and professional guide. We started on a part of the Inca Trail far above Cusco. The scenery was indescribable (we were lucky to have beautiful weather, but the countryside would be amazing at any time). During our walk, Hanny expertly explained the power of Quechuan plants, the Incan and pre-Incan engineering of their Andean ecosystem, and the modern Cusqueña culture. Lunch was delicious! We tried a locally-run vegan restaurant and had a fresh fruit infusion, which was super refreshing and nourishing after our morning walk. Hanny finished the tour with a visit to the San Pedro market where we were able to see the local produce and more medicinal plants. If you’re a nature lover, this is the perfect way to spend a day.
