What you'll do

Join me on a voyage of a few thousands years in 3,5 hours.
Athens is one of the oldest capitals of the world and people have been living here constantly since antiquity.
Also it sits at the crossroads between east and west, north and south and therefore it has embraced the cultures of the rest of the world.
What did the ancient Greeks use to eat? Did they invent the pizza first?
What types of food arrived with the Ottoman empire?
Is Mousaka really Greek? What about Greek salad?
What food did the Jews bring to Greece in the 1600s
and what happened after WW2?
What was the first dessert that you could buy in a Greek coffee shop?
We will visit over 30 points of interest, from coffee and pastry shops to open air markets, sharing all this wealth of knowledge with you.
It is all about understanding and savouring a city and with me you will do just that..
Also Athens is the capital of Greece and so the products from every little part of the country.
And you will get to taste it all.. Greek coffee, desserts, savour "mezedes" in a local taverna, sample olive oil and olives, sample cheese from all around the country!
Bring your appetite and a notebook!
Other things to note
There is a lot of walking so wear comfortable shoes.
Bear in mind that the area where the tour takes place is an area where lots of people are so make sure that you do not carry valuables with you!

Am passionate about Greek food and our local ingredients. Blessed as I live and work in a location that allows me to source a plethora of uniquely Greek products that I can use in my recipes and share with others. We live in a beautiful and unique location in Athens- our home is inside a huge park!
Worked in the food industry with one of Greece's top chefs for 8 years and was responsible for the research and development of original new recipes for his TV shows and website.
Now i want to take this wealth of knowledge to the world and show them what Greek food and hospitality is all about!
