Artisan Pizza Making Workshop!

Montreal, Canada

Experience hosted by Will

2.5 hours
Includes food, equipment
Up to 7 people
Hosted in English

What you'll do

We will start by learning how to properly mix and knead the dough. We will discuss how different flours and water amounts affect the final texture of the dough and crust. I have adapted the best Boulanger (Bread Maker) techniques to the home kitchen. You will become a confident dough maker at home in no time! Pizza has become a very expensive food to go out for but in reality, pizza is really inexpensive when done yourself and it tastes even more delicious when done at home!

While the dough rises I will go over how to make the best homemade tomato sauce at home. (the difference between canned tomatoes, fresh tomatoes and tomato paste) Which ingredients are ideal on a pizza. But really that's the beauty of homemade pizza, it's yours, you put whatever you want on it!

I accommodate vegans and vegetarians!

I will demonstrate how to stretch the dough the easy way!

We will then learn how to bake it!

You will then enjoy your creation!

This workshop is super hands on so this is far from the "Watch the pro" type workshop.

I show you how then it's your turn!

** Don't see a date that works for you? Message me and I'll be happy to accommodate parties of 2 or more **

I’m a Québec born world traveler and baker. I have spent more than half my life living over in Vancouver and overseas. I've acquired knowledge in many places around the world which has made me a well rounded baker. I have recently moved back to my roots here in Québec and am hoping to spread the love and passion I have developed over the many years for artisan bread and pizza making. I've been baking daily for nearly half a decade now and I've developed techniques to make artisan handmade pizza making accessible and easy for first timers!

Where you'll be

I live in a very lovely Mile End apartment. With the help of my beautiful Interior designer girlfriend, we try our best to set a cozy, heart warming atmosphere in our home. Ambient music from a record player, plants everywhere, scented candles, you name it we have it! This is meant to be a pleasant experience for everyone so every aspect of the workshop has been carefully designed to appeal.

Fantastic experience with Will, he is very knowledgeable and knows how to share his expertise to beginners. Probably the best pizza I've ever eaten, cannot wait to practice his recipe at home!
