Welcome to my experience! I have knowledge of different techniques of bead-work, painting and basketry. This experience will allow me to show you around Kariokor market where bead work, painting and basketry takes place. Kindly note that I am not in charge of any pricing and I
do not have any connection or price arrangement with the people in the market. I am just a tour guide in this experience and you are free to buy things in the market or compare prices in other places like malls in the city before you make your decision. Having been born and brought up in Nairobi, I am also very knowledgeable about the history of the city and will be happy to show my guests around areas of our city's cultural history.

My experience with Regina was very nice. I appreciated very much her flexibility. I had seen Kariokor market the previous day so we decided to go see together the Maasai market. She helped me enormously with the bargaining (which is almost mandatory in the Maasai Market if someone doesn't want to pay a lot) and I managed to get some local handicrafts at very good prices. Alone I don't think I could get such a good price. There is no pressure to buy anything and someone can just stroll through the market, see the handicrafts and buy later or not at all. So it was relaxed atmosphere during our tour and actually the bargaining procedure was fun :) Regina is very kind and polite and she had brought me also a bottle of water. I would recommend this experience and get ready to bargain hard it is fun;)

The whole point for me taking this experience was to buy souvenirs, gifts and art crafts in a local market at fair prices after being advised about the complex bargaining process, and to know about the people that do handwork. But I ended paying more than stores at fancy malls. She was not helpful at all. In fact, they are all together in a very tricky strategy. I do not recommend this.

Thank you Reginah for an amazing experience. I was provided with a bottle of drinking water. Kariokor market has lots to offer in terms of art and culture. The host is very knowledgeable about the area. I bought some stuff for my family and I highly recommend this activity to anyone who wants to spend 2.5 hours learning/buying something new and locally crafted.
