Sikhs The Saviors of India History Ride

Experience hosted by Ripul

4 hours
Includes food, transportation
Up to 4 people
Hosted in English

What you'll do

Rajiv Chowk is where we meet, have dinner and get to know each other. After dinner, we hop into my car as I give you a glimpse of the hip inner circle of Connaught Place, and move towards Gurudwara Bangla Sahib.

The grounds include the Gurudwara, a kitchen, a large (holy) pond, a school and an art gallery. As with all Sikh Gurdwaras, the concept of langar(food for all) is practiced, and all people, regardless of race or religion may eat in the Gurdwara kitchen (langar hall). The Langar (food) is prepared by volunteers who like to help out. Anyone can volunteer to help keep the shoes in the shoe-minding room, and cleaning the precincts of the Gurudwara, so let me know if you'd like to indulge in some good Karma by volunteering, if not that's okay too.

After that we move to Chandni Chowk, in Old Delhi where we visit two other historical Sikh Temples Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib and Gurudwara Rakabganj Sahib, as I make you aware of the significance of these sites and how they played a role in our survival.

Hello! I am Ripul.

I believe the whole world is one family. I graduated with majors in English and History(2013) and since then I have been looking for a way to generate more revenue while doing the things that I love. I have been taking groups on local tours for a few years now.

I want the people of this world to be more aware of the Sikh Community, who have always led selfless lives. In the past they were warriors against tyrannical rulers, and in present times they are saviors against hunger. They feed over a million people everyday among other charities that they do.
