I am a Certified Merchant Mariner that has enjoyed the wildlife & scenic beauty of Kodiak Island since 2004. Navigating the quiet ocean bays and exploring virtually untouched islands within the Kodiak archipelago has been a particular joy of mine. For the past 10 years I have hosted small groups in boat travel to and from neighboring islands. My new 28 X 11 foot aluminum landing craft with a cozy cabin is perfectly suited for a touring experience like no other you have had before!

The boat tour will involve travel within the busy Kodiak Harbor and Channel, Buskin River watershed, and nearby islands. You can expect to see our dynamic fishing industry up close, landmarks of WWII history, and wildlife including sea lion, puffin, otter, and possibly a humpback whale.

Wow Wow Wow! Our trip was amazing and Captain Stephen was a fantastic guide. He was there early, started the cabin stove. He was friendly, easy-going, and very knowledgeable about the island. Highly Recommended! Our trip was in the middle of July so the perfect time to see whales. The first spot he recommended we saw a couple humpback whales right away and throughout the entire trip they were constantly breaching. Don't forget to charge your batteries because your cameras will be on the entire time. Can't recommend Captain Stephen and this tour enough. The perfect way to end the evening, would definitely come back. The HIGHLIGHT of our two-week trip. Thank you again!

Stephen was very personable and knowledgeable of the area. He shared a wealth of knowledge about Kodiak and surrounding islands. He was able to answer a majority of the questions which we threw at him and was honest with those he didn’t know and said we might need to google that. The boat is amazing and well taken care of. There is an abundance of wildlife in the area. I highly recommend an evening out with Stephen.
