My name is Hans Keijzer. I’m managing the bookings and I am one of the Airbnb guides in Nuenen, together with Gofie van der Linden and Nigel Saych. The three of us are real art lovers and especially interested in Vincent van Gogh who was born and raised in North Brabant and who painted "The Potato Eaters" in Nuenen. Our passion is to show you around Van Gogh Village Nuenen and all the special and hidden locations. There are many of them and we will show them to you with some fascinating stories. Nuenen is like an open air museum. You will never get closer to Vincent van Gogh!

About the organisation: Foundation Van Gogh Village Nuenen

The foundation Van Gogh Village Nuenen is a non-profit cultural organization. Our main goal is to preserve the Van Gogh heritage. In Nuenen there are 23 locations that remind us of Van Gogh; 14 of these are locations painted or sketched by him. The others are statues or buildings with a special relevance.

This is a social impact experience where 100% of what you pay for this experience goes to Foundation Van Gogh Village Nuenen.

Where you'll be

Welcome in the Vincentre museum with coffee/tea. Outside I will surprise you with the beautiful locations and landscapes Van Gogh painted. I will tell you about and show you the Van Gogh Chapel, the Van Gogh House, the little weavershouse, the Potato Eaters sculpture and - hidden treasure - NuneVille (the house of Margot Begemann, who had an unfortunate love affair with Vincent. At the end you visit the Vincentre museum with a lively audio tour.

This was an excellent and detailed introduction to Van Gogh’s life in Nuenen. There was plenty of wider context as well as interesting insights. We felt as if we were given access to special places and shown some hidden gems. Our guide was passionate about the subject, the village and very willing to explore questions and ideas. It was very entertaining, thought provoking and enjoyable few hours. Highly recommended.
