What you'll do
Let's make gorgeous and pretty handmade temari-zushi—small, ball-like sushi that's great to serve at parties. I will show you how to make this traditional Japanese dish that is also colorful and enjoyable to look at. I will teach you how easy it is to decorate this handmade sushi using sashimi, eggs, vegetables, and so on. We'll also make flower-shaped sushi toppings out of vegetables, basic miso soup stock, a dish from seasonal green vegetables, and a pudding from matcha—green tea powder—made in Kyoto. Then we'll artfully arrange these five colorful dishes on the table and taste them. You can definitely make these dishes when you return home.
Other things to note
My home is a seven-minute walk from Fukushima Station, and a 15-minute walk from Umeda Station.

Yoko and her daughter are two very nice people who went out of their way to make me feel welcome and to give me a memorable experience. In their very nice and clean house we made many different types of sushi that I feel I can now make myself too. The whole experience was very positive and I would not hesitate to return.
