What you'll do

We will first get on a small local train. As the train runs very close to residential area, you can get a glipse of everyday life of people living in the area from the window.
Then, short bus ride would take us to a huge temple with many old and traditional Japanese style buildings. The temple is not very widely known despite of its greatfulness, and it definetely worth visiting. The temple is surrounded by very old huge cedar trees, which makes its atmosphere very special.
After basking in the sacred atmosphere, we will go on to hiking to the peak of one of Hakone mountains, from where you could see photogenic view of famous Mt. Fuji.
We will take a rest and have something to eat and drink at the peak, and then finally walk down to town of Hakone. I will show you a bus stop, so you can take bus to your home/hotel/guesthouse or go back to where we started off with me.
Other things to note
We may cancel the tour in case of bad weather.

I love spending time in / close to the nature and I 've been a big fan of hiking and trekking for more than 15 years.
As I need to be in Tokyo for my work on weekdays, I had always searched for and therefore am familiar with the places to escape from urban crowds to refresh and reset myself where is still easily visited from capital area.
I love planning and showing people nice places, and I got certified as a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter, so that I can help visitors to Japan to have memorable experiences.

Where you'll be

The temple we are visiting is surrounded by very old huge cedar trees and deep green moss, which makes its atmosphere very special. There are a lot to see such as Japanese style garden with water fall, small bridge, stone statues, and traditional buildings. The harmony of man-made and nature is something you have to feel.
Another highlight is a trail to hike along the ridge with fascinating view including Mt. Fuji and pleasant breeze.
