What you'll do

Journey through golden deserts and pristine canyons in Oman, a country confined by mountains, sand, and sea.

Starting in Muscat, Oman's capital, we'll head to a campsite in the mountains 2000 meters above sea level. From there, we'll go trekking in Jabal Akhdar, enjoy lunch in a 400-year old house, visit an ancient mud village, and tour Nizwa fort.

Finally, we'll camp and ride camels in Wahiba Sands desert before returning to Muscat.

Nabeel is a really good guide. The choice of activities he proposes in his adventures allow guests to discover unique sites and attractions that are off the beaten track. He also gives to his guests the opportunity to meet local people and artisans as well as to taste generous portions of Omani food and sweets, including some homemade ones. Also, he lodges his guests in historical, but well maintained, buildings, thus giving the opportunity to discover and live a part of Oman culture and history. In the case of my adventure, Nabeel has shown great flexibility and creativity to reorganize the program to cope with exceptional rain and the closing of many sites due to the death of his majesty Sultan Qaboos. Finally, Nabeel appears to be one of the rare guides in Oman who caters for the guests traveling alone.

This is an extremely enjoyable trip that covers a great deal of ground, and includes some wonderful experiences. The Omani scenery is truly magical, and you get to stay in some great accommodation with real Omani character. The desert, the mountains, the incredibly friendly people, the camel riding, it was all great and unforgettable. The group was great, and Nabeel, Qusai and Muhanned were great fun.

Overall, it was an amazing adventure! We appreciated a lot the program, unique places of the wonderful country of Oman. great dynamics, as well: from most hard part in Snake Gorge (a lot of swimming in rather cold water) to more relaxing sightseeing and museum visits. Organizers did a great job - aeverything was 100% pre-planned, almost no waiting even given 8 people in the group. Now I'm a true fan of Oman and would advise to go on this adventure to all my friends!
