On this casual 3 hours tour I'll take you to some of my favorite foodie spots in the old Town of Zaragoza, including a Central food market, specialty gourmet shops and three local tapas bars.

Itinerary:
- Meet guide at Cesar Augusto Monument.
- Visit Central Zaragoza food market.
- Guided walking tour of Zaragoza historical center.
- Stops at gourmet shops with tastings of local delicacies.
- Visit three local tapas bars with regional wine or beer.
- Chat with guide about the local lifestyle of Zaragoza.
- End of tour. Your guide will be happy to recommend activities for the remainder
of your stay.

On this 3-hour walking tour, I'll help you experience life as a Zaragoza local by leading you to some of my favorite foodie spots in the Old Town. First, we'll discover one of the most popular food markets in the center and meet local vendors to hear from them about the products in which they specialize. As we visit some of the sights around town, we will also pop into some gourmet shops selling artisanal meats, cheeses and olive oils. And when we have finally developed an appetite, we will visit my two favorite tapas bars to try Zaragoza-style tapas with local wines.

I am a passionate foodie and adventurous traveler. After leaving his native Zaragoza, I spent two years working and studying in Oxford, Brighton and Lincoln, followed by 5 years in Munich, Germany. Between 2016-2017, I completed a Masters Degree in Culinary Tourism at the Basque Culinary Center in San Sebastian. I enjoy teaching travelers about the history, culture and foodie spots of Zaragoza and its surroundings.

Where you'll be

We will visit "El Tubo" is a network of narrow streets of Zaragoza. It is the main tapas area of the city and the most traditional. It can be accessed directly from Plaza de España and would be formed by the area between El Coso, Alfonso I, Don Jaime I and Mendéz Núñez.

This was a very good tour with a good blend of history, culture, tapas and wine. I have been on a bunch of food tours and Jorge managed to introduce me to all new kinds tapas. Jorge was personable and knowledgeable and I had a good tour. Jorge also has a cooking school in Zaragoza and if you are looking for food experiences, or a class, or a tour, I would recommend connecting with Jorge.

If you plan to visit Zaragoza, than a Tapas Tour with Jorge should be on your list of "things to do". It was a pleasure walking through the streets of the old Zaragoza, listening the story of this city while tasting some unconventional Tapas and drinking local wine. Highly recommended

Jorge took us on a wonderful walking tour that explored the history of Zaragoza, and also the wide variety of foods available to try - from very simple to fancy. It was perfect, he couldn’t have done any better. I recommend this to anyone who wants to learn about this relatively quiet Spanish town, and its specialties.
