What you'll do

The meeting point at the Saint-Laurent metro station allows us to better situate ourselves in the city. It is an important street called "the Main" of Montreal. It's also the street art of the city. A map of the city will be provided so you can mark your new discoveries . That way you will make sure you don't forget anything ... for a future visit.

The first stop will be at the famous Schwartz smoke meat deli, it's the oldest deli in Canada (1928). Then, we will head to the best restaurant specialized in poutine, located just minutes from the fabulous "Parc Lafontaine". After the picnic at the park, a walk of a little more than 2 kil., will allow us to digest, before ending up at "the number one factory manufacturing the famous bagels in the wood oven". To get there, we will take the opportunity to circulate on the very popular street "Mount Royal". Full of beautiful discoveries, shops unique in their kind.

Finally, the last stop of the day, will be seconds from the Bagel shop, to enjoy a sweet treat. It's "THE" ice cream parlor that is the most popular in Montreal since one year or two.

It is important to note that this walk is not meant to be "historic", but fun for both the taste buds and the eyes. While you're walking, you can take the opportunity to ask questions to your guide who knows the city well.
Other things to note
You don't have to be athletic, far from it, but you need to like walking since it's the way we will discover the great place of food in Montreal (total of about 3 miles for the 3 pounds you will eat!). Everybody that lives in this town will tell you, it's the smart way to get around in Montreal.

A car is only an obstacle here, especially in recent years, where many streets or undergrounds require repairs, so it's the orange cones that "decorate" our streets.

Since I can remember, people always described me as a person open to the world, dynamic and passionate.

It's been almost 8 years that I share my love of Montreal with all my Airbnb visitors. It happened several times that I went with my guests to a few of the places I suggest, but I couldn't guaranty it since I was working full time. I am now a happy young retiree ;) so I can share with all the tourists.

My guests strongly encouraged me to suggest this experience to Mtl visitors. According to them, after 3 hours with me, you will want to move to my city ; )

This tour was excellent- gave us an authentic experience of some of the sights, sounds and tastes of Montreal with a very personal touch. Lynne was very positive and personable - relaxed and happy and we felt like we were being shown the city by an old friend. I would definitely recommend taking this tour. We had a delicious picnic lunch with some famous Schwartz’s deli meat and awesome poutine (my husband is a big guy and ordered the large and it was actually too much so I would say the medium/regular poutine portion is plenty). Then the ice cream/sorbet was the best we have ever had - I had the mint-lime which was incredible! Lynne was kind enough to show us how to use the Bix bike rental system and we rode back to our Airbnb condo near old Montreal and it was all downhill which ended the afternoon perfectly. Thanks Lynne, so happy we booked with you.

Exceptionnel.

Any experience can be cancelled and fully refunded within 24 hours of purchase, or at least 7 days before the experience starts.

Guest requirements

Up to 6 guests ages 5 and up can attend. Parents may also bring children under 2 years of age.

What to bring

The most important is probably comfortable shoes.

Since it's hard to know how hungry you will be, I've chosen a lower cost for the experience, but you need to bring money for your poutine and ice cream ($ 5 to $ 15 total depending on your choice of serving).
