What you'll do

After our meeting, we get on the van and I will drive you to the heart of the Classic Valpolicella area: Gargagnago. Just 30 minutes away from Verona, the landscape in Valpolicella is totally different, with nice rolling hills, small villages and large vineyards. We get off the van and we start to hike among the typical marogne (stone walls around cultivated fields), on wavy panoramic paths. We go up to the hill, where the air is fresh also in the hottest months, gladdened by the shadow of the trees, deep into the sounds of nature.
We sight the bell-tower of San Giorgio "Ingannapoltron": as its name hides, it is always a bit further than what you think. Finally we reach the ancient but well-preserved village on the top of the hill: the view from there is great, as the pictures you can take over the beautiful terraced hills and even Lake Garda, that shines right in front of you!
We can take a short rest in San Giorgio, while I can show you the inside of the beautiful ancient church.
Going down back to Gargagnago is easy, and finally it's time of a Valpolicella wine tasting in a family-run winery, the best ending of a great afternoon!
We go back to Verona by van around dinner time.

I travelled in Europe, South America and Oceania, always on a bike or with the hiking shoes on, and a guitar on my side, but I also love relaxing in front of a bottle of wine and a plate of delicious food.
I love my hometown, its beautiful hills and mountains: I am always looking for nice spots where to enjoy the greatest panoramas in Verona, Valpolicella and Lake Garda, secret places off the beaten tracks, traditional villages and authentic restaurants with the best local food.
Discovering the world "piano piano" - slowly slowly, that's my motto!
