What you'll do

At the workshop, we will teach you how to make it properly and beautifully even you are a complete beginner using a fresh local-catch fish/vegetables, hand-made ingredients.

This is a maximum 2 pax private Sushi-making class, you can relax and focus on learning. (Please feel free to contact us if you would like more persons to join the class)

I proactively use a fresh local catch from fish market, spending lots of time for preparation to improve its taste to the best. I make a Sushi ginger from where I harvested at a local organic farm. I try my best not to use unnecessary artificial food additives.

Contents: Making Nigiri sushi, Maki sushi, Gunkan Maki using preliminarily pretreated material.
Duration: Approx. 2.5 hours including dish-tasting of your Sushi.

After making it, you can eat and finish the plate at the shop.
Other things to note
Please advise us if you have a food allergy or special diet in order for us to offer alternative options to the itinerary

Disclaimer: The ingredients we use may vary depending on what's available at fish market.

I had a very good experience at Ryuzo's, learning how to make a real Sushi for the first time. This lesson is highly recommended for everyone who want to learn a serious Sushi-making.

This private sushi-making class was the most amazing experience I had preparing sushi, the way that Ryuzo san (Sushi instructor) explained how to prepare sushi and nigiri dishes was excellent. I will definitely continue going to next courses. Kanpai!

As frequent travellers to Japan, my wife and I felt that we were running out of activities to do, so we thought of giving the Sushi lesson a try at the wonderful location of Hayama (a hidden gem!). Ryuzo is fully fluent in English and made it easy for my wife and I to take and follow instructions. I found it his personal stories interesting, particularly his time in Singapore and the U.S. which I felt a lot of people can relate to. The lesson itself went smoothly and he took note of our dietary concerns into account before hand. Upon completing our set of Sushi, we felt a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction, especially after eating it! I highly recommend this experience to anyone who has half a day around Tokyo to spare, because after the lesson, we strolled around Hayama town which is such a lovely and laid back place to visit. Ryuzo gave us many idea of places to visit, so don’t forget to ask for his recommendations!
