I will also teach people a few words in Maori and give some history about the Maori from that area as well. From there we will turn back along the trail and hike an additional 10 mins to Whatipu’s beautiful black sand beach for pictures and a little more history. After a little free time at the beach we’ll pack up and Take 45 min drive to the Arataki reserve for a little more information on the waitakere ranges, information about additional trails and a quick snack. There are also additional photo ops and a great gift shop as well. (A 10 min Beach hike to show where The movie “The Piano” was filmed will be optional as well) from there we will return to Auckland and end the experience.
I love exploring New Zealand, I’ve travelled extensively and still there is no place quite like New Zealand. I’m the founder of Wheelbarrow Media a content fulfillment boutique and a simple Nature enthusiast. To me there is so much magic in Nature and we often overlook it. New Zeland embraces Nature by providing bush walks conveniently throughout the city. Even just an hour outside the city one can be transported to another time and place. I want to share that wonderful feeling with others!
I’ll provide transportation in my car and drive which is particularly convenient since Whatipu is off the beaten path and is…
