What you'll do

After a hello and get to know you, we'll take a tour of the forge, run through the essential equipment and the need to know healthy and safety brief. After that we'll demo the basic technique of tapering a bar of steel and then it's over to you to have a go! We'll cover twisting and shaping in the same way. By lunch you will hopefully be near to finishing your very own fire poker! (you can keep this and anything else you make).

We'll break for lunch in the adjacent Harry's Cafe which serves the most delicious local food (included in the price)!

In the afternoon you will have time to finish off your poker and then set your mind to another little project of your choosing! Hooks, nails, another fire tool, a trivet, bird feeder hanger - these are all suggestion of little projects that would be achievable in the time.

Harry's Cafe will whip us up a delicious coffee mid-afternoon to keep us going (included in the price).

We'll finish up by polishing your hand-crafted items ready to take home! We'll happily share photos we take on the day with you too!

We look forward to meeting you! :)
