What you'll do
Arrive at Escape Camp Picton - don't miss the unique built heritage of the site as you drive in past the barracks, officers' mess and view the hangars and theatre in the distance. You'll become a citizen spy when you enter Building 9 on the camp. We'll brief you and your group for your mission and send you to wartime France to retrieve secret documents held safe by the French Resistance. You have 1 hour to change the course of the War! At then end of your experience we'll "fly" home to Canada where we'll enjoy a slice of Canada War Ration Cake, a warm beverage and learn about an advanced espionage skill: making a scytale cipher. Escape Camp Picton game room designers will be available throughout to answer questions about escape room design, the history of Camp Picton and the history of citizen spies in Canada!
Other things to note
Escape Camp Picton is in a historical site, and as such there are some idiosyncrasies with the experience venue. Guests will need to cross uneven ground to access the entrance, which has four steps. Washrooms are unheated port-a-potties a short walk from the building entrance. No running water.

I am a full time resident of Prince Edward County and one of the owners of Escape Camp Picton. I am an improv comedian and teacher, event producer, travel experience developer and escape room lover! I will bring the game room designers into every experience, pulling back the curtain snd showing you how our rooms are made. Our team knows the history of Camp Picton and can tell you about the people and events that make this site a truly unique place - one of the best-preserved WW2 British Air Force bases in the world!
Where you'll be
The experience will take place in Building 9 on the impressive Camp Picton site. Camp Picton was a WW2 British Air Force training camp, and through the efforts of Loch Sloy Holdings - the stewards of the site - Camp Picton remains one of the best preserved WW2 era camps of its kind. Drive through the camp after your escape and see barracks, the officers' mess, the theatre, soaring hangars and the gunnery target wall.
This escape was VERY well researched, thoughtfully designed and planned, and meticulously executed. The back story and decor was rich, deep and authentic. The hosts were in character, knowledgeable, helpful, warm and welcoming, and very willing to interact and share their experiences. A must-visit whether you are a puzzle enthusiast or new to escape room experiences. Incredible value. Can’t say enough great things! Very well done. Thank you Julianne and company!
