What you'll do

Come on down & eat your way through a part of Music City that most tourists, & even most locals, don't get to see! This is an off the beaten path food tour highlighting international cuisines and our immigrant community! We’ll meet at Plaza Mariachi, located in the heart of Nashville's International Corridor, Nolensville Pike. From Plaza we'll walk down to the Little Kurdistan area. We'll eat there & see a traditional bakery! At each stop, you will be provided generous portions of a signature dish of a country. Dishes we may try include: Venezuelan Arepas, Kurdish Kebabs, & Traditional Mexican Pastries & Ice Cream. We'll end our tour back at Plaza Mariachi, a stunning entertainment & music venue.
Through booking this food tour, you directly support the family owned & immigrant owned small businesses we visit. Precautions for COVID are taken at all the establishment. Unless purchasing a private tour, understand that there may be other guests besides your party.
My promise is that you will leave with a full stomach, food to take home, & having learned some new information about this special part of Nashville!
Other things to note:
I can customize each tour to your tastes & preferences (vegetarians, gluten-free, etc.). I will handle ordering & payments for a hearty sampling of each place. (extra alcoholic drinks at your expense. Contact us for large groups and time requests!

Hi! I am a Nashville native, and I grew up working and volunteering on Nolensville Road, known here as "Nashville's International Corridor." I have also lived in the Middle East and Latin America, so I am well acquainted with the cuisines we are trying. I speak English, Arabic, and Spanish, making me the perfect guide to help you navigate all the great authentic restaurants on this road. As a volunteer with Conexión Américas (a nationally recognized non profit organization) for four years, I have learned much about the history of the area and love sharing it with visitors.

Where you'll be

Plaza Mariachi is a stunning venue with shops, a food hall, a live music stage, and other services. It feels like Epcot! We will be going to two restaurants and a bakery as well.

Great ethnic food tour away from the immediate downtown area. Latino, Kurdish, middle eastern, appetizers, entrees, and baked goods to try in an easily walkable area. Anas is personable and eager to please.

Anas was a great guide; exposing us to delicious foods we wouldn’t have tried without his guidance. More than the food, he shared about the cultural background of this part of Nashville.

The details listed for this experience really don’t do it justice! It was such a great experience! I do appreciated the special touch for my husband’s birthday and the flexibility with our infant! I would definitely recommend booking this tour! You won’t be disappointed!

Anas was a terrific host for our tour and gave us a bit of history about Nashville’s Kurdish, Hispanic, and Arabic culture. The food was amazing and we would have never known about these places on our own. I highly recommend it as a fun interesting activity in Nashville.
