Up to 6 people

What you'll do

The guests will gather at Queenstown MRT (EW19)
From there, we will take a short walk to the nearby coffee shop for breakfast. Kopi, teh, tuck-giu? Sounds foreign? Be immersed in the daily 'routine' of every Singaporean, from the breakfast must-drink beverage to the must-eat food items. Be amazed how Singapore food is a microcosm of our multi-culture and multi-racial society.
After a simple and hearty breakfast, venture to the adjacent local supermarket and experience the local way of necessity marketing.
With ingredients checked, we head back to our home studio, where we will prepare the ingredients and start cooking! The home studio is in a Housing Development Board apartment (HDB). HDB houses are built by the Singapore government, and is where 80% of SIngaporeans lived in.
Hear stories about HDB and learn interesting facts about the ingredients (and maybe the secret recipe too!) as we cooked up our meals.
The guests should expect a 2 course meal (main + dessert) to be ready at the end of a 2-2.5hrs cooking session.
Other things to note
Dressed comfortably;
Come in walking shoes as we will be walking and standing a fair bit;
Storage available for luggages available
Aprons will be provided

Never shy in front of an audience, passionate and bubbly with a strong passion in sharing the best of Singapore's cultures, nuances and policies. Having been in the tourism industry for a decade, i decided to take time out and start a home base baking studio with my wife. The baking studio will be the platform where we (including you the reader) create unique local Singapore flavours and products, through the experiences we gain from the insider tours around our studio.
