What you'll do

"Look deep into nature and then you will understand everything better"- Albert Einstein. Our interpretive hiking tour is a new exciting experience started only in July 2019. Choose between leisurely walks or even a challenging hike of several hours - our tour is designed specifically for small groups of maximum four participants for offering a most special personal experience. Our guided walks are tailored for taking in the most scenic spots - including impressive waterfalls - as well as enjoying the best hiking trails of the Greater Blue Mountains, giving you insider knowledge about history, geology and nature as well as offering plenty opportunities for breathtaking photo shots along the way. On our way, we stop for a nice tea or lunch break in one of our iconic mountain villages of Blackheath, Leura or Wentworth Falls (German Bakery). There is also the option to pay a visit to the Blue Mountains Heritage Centre managed by the local National Park organisation. There is so much to see and to do in the mountains. Let us discuss about all options when you are here, to work out a perfect day in the mountains for you! We usually meet in front of BLUE MOUNTAINS VISITOR INFORMATION opposite of Katoomba train station or we can arrange a personal pick up/drop off from where you stay in the Blue Mountains. Starting and finishing times are flexible, please contact us to discuss.

Wolfgang

Your personal guides Wolfgang and Hedi are passionate local hiking enthusiasts holding a Parks Eco Pass license awarded by NSW National Park & Wildlife Service who love sharing with you the magnificent sights and sounds of the Blue Mountains away from the bustling city life. After having lived and worked in Germany, California, Hong Kong, China, Malaysia and Singapore before settling down in this fabulous part of Australia, it is now time for us to return the kindness that we received by so many during our time abroad. What better way to do so than sharing our experience of many hundreds of hikes, showing and explaining -Hedi has a master in mineralogy- the natural wonders of our gorgeous Blue Mountains. Supporting Australia's national environment organisation ACF, a donation for every hike conducted is being made on your behalf.

Where you'll be

From the breathtaking exposed Pulpit Rock Lookout, watch misty clouds rising and falling back into the deep, rugged Grose Valley wilderness. Look out for a Hobbit in the mysterious valley of the Grand Canyon, one of Blue Mountains most spectacular places. Descend along gorgeous Sylvia Waterfall down the Valley of Waters, climb back up steep, rocky stairs next to the overwhelming Wentworth Falls. Or find the elusive Platypus hiding in Blue Lake

More tips

Best and most economical way to travel to Blue Mountains is by a 2-hours train ride on the Blue Mountains Line (leaving Central Station mostly from platform 5 to 8) to Katoomba using Sydney's public transport OPAL smart card. Buy this card at the station or from any news agent shop.
