What you'll do

On the south side of Dublin Bay a stunning coastal area of spectacular views, and wonderful wildlife awaits your visit..

When you step aboard the lovely motor vessel 'True Blue', or the fabulous sailing ketch 'Kairos', you will be embarking upon an unforgettable trip along the stunning coastline of Dublin Bay.

Fill your lungs with invigorating sea air.
Feast your eyes on the spectacular scenery.
and delight your senses with joy and happiness.

The 'Kingdom of Dalkey Sea Tour' starts in Dun Laoghaire's historical harbour (1817). Then a voyage via Scotsman’s Bay and Sandycove, leaving Bulloch Harbour, the famous Forty Foot, the James Joyce Tower and Colimore Harbour, to starboard.

After cruising through Dalkey Sound we enter magnificent Killiney Bay, which has long been compared to the beautiful Bay of Naples.

After a jaunt around the bay, we can head back to Dalkey Island and the Muglins. And if the weather is good enough we can drop an anchor in the lee of Dalkey Island or Sorento Point. And, relax and have a picnic while the seals play around us, the seabirds soar, and perhaps a dolphin passing by.

This is not a formal tour as such, more a sharing of a pleasant few hours on the water while pointing out interesting things to see.

This experience would not suit elderly persons, or anybody who has restricted physical movement.

The tour takes approx 2.5/3 hour
Other things to note
There are 4 yacht clubs and 4 piers in Dun Laoghaire. "DMYC, West Pier."
Bring warm layers of clothes as it can be cooler on the water than on the land, even on a hot day.... (it is Dublin after all)

We have a choice of 2 boats for your outing. One sail, one power, it depends on the days weather...

In my career as a professional sailor I’ve been delivering boats worldwide for over 25 years. I have been fortunate to visit, and live in, some of the most exotic and beautiful places on earth. A few years ago, I returned to Ireland, and Dublin Bay, a place where all my travels began. This was where I developed my great love for the sea. Here, on a gorgeous stretch of coastline. I thought it would be really great to share this wonderful, story full, sea-coast, which rivals any other, with guests aboard one of my two wonderful boats, the fast and furious power vessel 'True Blue', or my lovely classic sailing ketch 'Kairos'... So I do...

We enjoyed our tour of the harbor, Vincent outlined a plan before we set out and followed it. He had a lot of knowledge about the various communities and the history of the bay.

Les phoques n'étaient malheureusement pas au rendez-vous. Cela ne nous a pas empêchés de passer un bon moment en mer et de partager la compagnie agréable de Vincent et de son chien Robin. Merci

It was a wonderful experience riding by boat along the shoreline. Vincent is an excellent skipper, and he makes you feel right at home on his boat. The views are spectacular and Vincent tells you facts about the different places that you are seeing. It was well worth it. Robin, his adorable first mate just adds more pleasure to the trip.

We had such a blast with Vincent and his crew(human + canine!). We felt felt cared for, at ease, understood and blown away as Vincent took us on this very personal voyage of the Dalkey Sea. Vincent generously shared his extensive knowledge along with the easily-overlooked discoveries he's made from traveling the same waters for years. One of the best parts was that he knew every seal and they knew him too!!! It was fantastic!!!! If you love seals, you MUST take this tour! They're gorgeous!!!!

If you’re on the fence, don’t be: book this experience. Spending the day on the water with Vincent and his pup Robin will not be something I will soon forget! It was a blast! Be sure to bring a camera too :)
