What you'll do
We will meet at 7am in Miraflores, and I will provide transportation to El Morro mountain. We will run the trails along and up the mountain of the historic site, known for the Battle of San Juan and Chorrillos between Peruvian and Chilean forces in 1881. We will plan to run a 7mile (11km) trail, with an elevation of around 1,300ft (400m) leading to the top where we will have incredible views of city of Lima and the southern beaches of Chorrillos. We will enjoy a fresh squeezed orange juice after the run at the bottom of the mountain and head back to Miraflores. Expect to be back in Miraflores before 10am.
I am an American living in Peru for just over 11 years, and a passionate trail runner. I have represented Peru racing obstacle courses internationally. While we run, I am happy to answer any questions about Peru, living here and local recommendations. We will run or jog at your pace. I have been running trails around Peru (especially the Lima area) for the last 5 years, and am excited to share the trails with more visitors!
Fresh squeezed orange juice from locals will be provided after the run.

I know it may be tempting, but please do not try to run the Morro on your own. The routes are not marked and it is easy to get lost if you are not familiar with the area.
