The Olive Cottage is OPEN | Somerset West

This off grid guest suite is a spacious one bedroom unit attached to the main house. Guests will have access to a dedicated parking inside the property and enter the suite through a private entrance. The main living area is an open plan lounge kitchen and the kitchen is fully equipped including a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge and gas stove. The lounge is furnished with a TV and comfortable seating, including a sleeper couch. The bedroom has a queen size bed with an en suite bathroom.

The cottage offers guests an unique opportunity to stay on a rustic working wine farm. It forms part of the farmstead of a historic wine farm, but has its own little garden with a view over vineyards. It is located on the R44 between Stellenbosch and Somerset West, which makes it the ideal place to reside when exploring the many surrounding wineries and restaurants. The road may be a bit noisy, but most guests hear birds more often than they hear cars. The cottage was built in the 1980’s.

Come and stay in our peaceful studio cottage high up on Helderberg Mountain surrounded by trees and hear the owls hooting as you fall asleep! Beautiful new cottage, with it's own deck and garden and stylishly furnished to meet your every need. And now with solar installed (April 2023) we have NO LOAD-SHEDDING! We've replaced the oven and hob with a fully gas stove so all appliances can be used during load shedding!

Stonewall guest suite

This guest suite is set on a working wine farm in the winelands between Somerset West and the historic town Stellenbosch. It is situated in what used to be the stables and has since been converted to a tasting room and guest suite. The suite consists of a big, airy room, a separate kitchenette and a bathroom. It has its own front porch with a view over the farmstead and it is adjacent to a chicken coop.
