Born and raised in Faial, i have a wonderful family and I love to travel and meet new people! I spent quite a lot of time renovating this house completly! This was designed to be a real home and I think this makes a difference! The view to Pico island and to the sea blow us way! Exactly in the center of Horta, the house is confortable and the kitchen well equipped: with fridge, microwave, washing machine, oven, dishwasher and hob. 10 minutos walk away from Peter Café Sport and Porto Pim beach.

This tradicional stone house rightly bears the name "Casa Vista Fantástica". Look forward to a fantastic, unobstructed view of the wide Atlantic Ocean and the neighboring island of Pico with Portugal's highest mountain "Montanha do Pico", 2,351m. The rooms go up to the roof and convey a great feeling of space. The jewel of the house is the large conservatory, wich is glazed on 3 sides inluding the roof, and which might be better be called a summer garden.

João’s Airbnb was meticulously clean, well equipped, with lots of extra touches and exceeded all of our expectations. We could not have chosen a better location to end our three week trip to the Azores. We were greeted by João and he was very welcoming, accessible and easy to communicate with. We were centrally located close to Horta, the ferries and all major attractions on Faial, plus being right on an amazing black sand beach and surrounded by beautiful views. Would highly recommend and look forward to a return trip soon. João was truly a super host!

Maria and João were the kindest hosts we've ever had! The warm reception they gave us, the help given to some mishap, the concern about our stay on the island... And going through the experience of sleeping on a boat in Mariana da Horta is something! The space is very careful and comfortable, the quiet environment and excellent location, with the particularity of being able to park the car within the navy. A thousand stars for the hosts and your boat!

The apartment was great – much nicer than in the photos. Everything was well thought out, and the equipment exceeded our expectations. Communication with the host was also excellent. Nothing to add, nothing to take away. Our only regret is that we stayed for just two nights.
