"Anglesey House" Iconic Forbes CBD Heritage Home
"Anglesey House" a two storey, Late Victorian home built in 1884 in the CBD. A wealthy merchant from Anglesey in Wales, loaded two ships with finery that could not be obtained in Australia at the time. William Thomas built Anglesey House with it's seven marble fireplaces, cedar staircase, high and ornate ceilings and sandstone stables in the back garden. Although built in 1884 Anglesey has all of the facilities that are expected in a modern home. More history available in the guest guide.

Established gardens surround the house. Covering nearly 6000m2, there is plenty of space to walk around with a glass of champagne in hand and enjoy the garden no matter what time of year. The pool area is a delight and will provide many hours of entertainment from November through April.
