Holiday houses in Forbes State Forest

What a fantastic place to stay! My family and I had an amazing time and we are looking forward to returning in the fall.

We came from the other side of the state to celebrate two big family events for the weekend. We needed space to visit with family as well as to prep for an off property grad party - the kitchen had everything we needed & the space to visit with family while we were in the area. Being able to bring out two dogs with us was a huge perk and great last minute decision. The location is quiet, easy to find and the hosts were so kind! The beds were comfortable and had the weather been better it would have been a great place to enjoy the private outdoor space. We hope this location is available for us the next time we visit! My friends and I really enjoyed our stay at Mint to Be. It was exactly as pictured and was a quiet, beautiful place to spend our girls’ weekend. Anni was very friendly and responsive, and all instructions regarding check in/check out were very clear!

The stay at The Glass House was all we imagined and more! Alla and Malinda would respond within minutes of needing anything, even if it was just simple directions. They also provided detailed maps of the resort/surrounding areas. They left a gift for us upon arrival with a welcome sign-so sweet! The house was super clean-spotless, in fact. It had gorgeous views with so many outdoor spaces to hang out. The kitchen was very well stocked, especially for our large group in which we had to cook large amounts of food. The two dining areas were especially helpful! If you have kids-this is the house for you! The playroom in the basement provided hours of entertainment. Not to mention, there were so many activities for the adults-shuffle board, a pool table, hanging in the hot tub, games, etc. The beds and comforters were super cozy! We also utilized the multiple, large tv's in the house. We loved opening the garage door for some fresh air while still being inside. Thank you Alla!

My husband and I stayed here with our two young kids. It was a great place to stay while enjoying Idlewild, The Fort Ligonier Museum and the unique restaurants and shops in Ligonier. We mostly enjoyed the large deck and firepit set up. The light strung from the trees to the house give it really nice ambience. Everything was very very clean. We had everything we needed to cook. We would certainly return again.

This is a great space for unwinding and relaxing. The babbling brook in the back yard is peaceful to meditate listening to. We very much enjoyed the outdoor fire pit so much kids could experience a full experience of cooking hotdogs, smores and mountain pies. We plan to return.

Anthony was always attentive to our messages request, and questions. He answered right away and was very friendly. The home was nice, cozy, and clean. Was nice to have all we needed in the kitchen to make a meal and provided shampoo conditioner and body wash for bathroom. Was right across from a playground and the beautiful big pool was right next door. It was quiet and peaceful, beautiful area. Was nice to find unexpected amenities such as a newer clean pack n play for our baby saved us from having to pack one. Had a very nice washer and dryer which was free and they even had detergent for us to use. The beds were very comfortable and the bedding was clean and smelled wonderful, blankets were soft and warm. It felt more like staying at a relatives than a rented home. As soon as we walked in we felt right at home. This was the first Airbnb we’ve ever stayed at and it sure set the standards high if we need to find another one in the future.

We enjoyed our one night stay! The ‘resort’ is an interesting property, where there are options for a tiny home glamping or RV experience. Very clean property. Matt’s place was beautifully designed and cozy for 2 people. We enjoyed cooking on the fire pit and had all the utensils we needed. You can purchase wood on the property. Very quiet and peaceful in the evening. Loved that we had a full bathroom, with walk in shower- again beautifully done! Matt was a very responsive host. Would like to return for a fall/winter trip.
