“We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend at Sunny Acres. We got there in the dark but instructions were super clear on how to access property so there was no issues. We entered the cottage to find a welcome note and bottle of wine awaiting us and fire wood ready to go. It wasn’t long before the kids were in bed and the fire was crackling and a glass of red was being enjoyed. Travel cot and high chair were provided. All your pantry essentials. The cottage was clean as a whistle with cute decor throughout. A beautiful place to get away for a few nights from the rush of life.”

“The guesthouse is cute and cozy, perfect for a single person or a couple looking for a nice quiet get away. We had no trouble finding the location or checking in and it was even nicer than expected! It looks small on the outside, however inside was not at all cramped, it was nice and spacious while still having everything we required. The hosts also provide an array of breakfast items, spreads and drinks which was very much appreciated! Great communication from them when booking too. We hope to come back and would recommend this location to others!”
The property is on 3 1/2 acres on the outskirts of Gloucester within five minutes drive to the town centre. There are expansive vistas of mountain ranges which include the famous Bucketts and Mograni ranges on either side of the Avon Valley where the house is situated. There is an extensive range of activities available in the area. Alternatively, the place is so peaceful and the views so beautiful that unwinding quietly with a book can be an attractive option.
“We, including our fur babies enjoyed our stay at Farthings. Penny and Chris are kind and wonderful hosts and so very interesting to talk to. We had the pleasure of spending NYE with them and they were great company. It was very hot and dry during our stay but the house is well designed for the climate and we managed to have very restful nights with the help of the ceiling fans. We travelled to a beautiful beach, Black Head to get a cooler breeze during the heatwave which was around an hour's drive away through stunning country side. We dined at a local Thai restaurant one night and there is a BBQ available to cook on if needed plus a microwave and sandwich toaster. I would recommend spending time at Farthings for a very pleasant country escape.”
