Great stay at Jennie’s house. Loved the location for Sherwood Forest, Nottingham Castle and the Tramway Museum. Kids loved the garden and hot tub and the beds were comfortable. Would recommend.

we had a wonderfully chilled break. Fully kitted out kitchen. hot tub great plus having a private bbq and private terrace was a bonus. animals great fun, plenty of parking. Bedrooms are all spacious and comfortable. would highly recommend and we will definitely come back again.

The most beautiful place, the home was even better than we ever imagined, plenty of space, lovely views and walking trails. Most definitely would book again.

The perfect stay! We had a fab time in Amber Lodge and it was kitted out with everything you’d need - the kitchen was super well equipped. The hot tub was a huge bonus and lovely place to chill out in the evenings. The beds were all really comfortable & everything was spotless when we arrived. Farmer Vic was lovely & helped us out when we arrived. Plenty of parking & easy to get to. We had SO much fun meeting all the animals (even as a group of eight 25 year olds) and thought the lodge was a perfect base to visit Bakewell and the surrounding areas! Can’t fault anything and would highly recommend this place.

The old Piggery was perfect for our family (including dogs!). The place itself was bigger than what we were expecting and had everything we needed. Super clean and great water pressure. If Jenny will have us back we would love to have this as our go to stay when we are visiting friends and family. Thank you so much.

We really loved our stay at Ryecroft Lodge, we were visiting Download festival nearby in Donnington and it was wonderful to have somewhere like this to decompress and relax between the festival days. The house is beautiful, very thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed and wheelchair accessible too. Caroline is a great host, giving great, clear instructions and checked in with us at the beginning and end. Thank you, we hope to return again!

A beautiful converted cottage with a recently refurbished feel. Very close to Nottingham (20 mins by car to the centre) and a very private area. Paul and Suzie were very accommodating and helpful.

We had a lovely time staying on the boat. Sharon was really helpful from start to finish. Everything was set up for our stay and we had a great time. This trip was myself, my brother, and my Dad, so two of us used the bedrooms and one of us slept on the sofa bed in the living room. There were ample blankets, cushions, and pillows for all three beds. The amount of space on the boat was great for us. I think three single people was the right amount for the boat, or four people if they were both couples. We entertained ourselves with food and drink on the picnic bench above the deck, and watching TV below deck. There was a strong WiFi signal and the streaming services on TV worked fine. Being on the Trent meant it was easy to go for a walk. We must have covered 8 miles on Saturday, along the River and into a couple of villages. All in all, we had a great time and would love to stay again on the future.

Helen & Richard were amazing hosts! On arrival we were personally toured around the house - it was very informative and included detailed explanations of everything we needed to know for the stay. We were left with homemade bread and access to the most beautiful kitchen with an aga which was a lot of fun to use. Everything we needed was there and Helen even offered for us to make use of some of her herbs, spices etc. The pictures do not the house justice - wow! The rooms are so spacious and beautifully decorated. Every room has easy access to a bathroom which all have showers fully equipped with everything you need. A peaceful, secluded garden with beautiful plants and trees - even a large BBQ ready to light with charcoal. Highly recommend this stay, you will not be disappointed!

Utterly wonderful place to stay - beautiful location , spotlessly clean , excellent welcome basket of goodies , comfy sofas, comfy bed , big bath towels ,so many thoughtful touches. Better than the photos . Really responsive and welcoming host . Have already rebooked . A real find .

I had a wonderful stay here — the house is cozy, quiet, and full of warmth. It reminded me of my university days in Nottingham, and for a few nights, it felt like I had traveled back to that time. Thank you for creating such a comforting space. I’d definitely love to come back again!

Great rural base for 4 golfers each with our own bedroom, situated within fifteen minute drive of some of the best heathland golf courses in the uk. A good choice of restaurants / pubs even closer with some walkable. Amelia was a great host explaining everything we needed to know to make our stay a real pleasure, making herself readily available but thereafter just left us to enjoy our break. Would have no hesitation in returning or recommending to friends.

Jenni was super helpful friendly and very accommodating to someone who always leaves too much time to navigate traffic. We were so early but Jenni let us in early which we were very grateful for. The annex was wonderful exactly as described and perfect for our stay definitely hoping Jenni will accommodate us again next year

lovely little conversion of a out building clean and comfortable . little basic but at the price great value . very quiet and just minutes from 2 takeaways and village shop and post office.

A lovely cottage in a great setting. 2 excellent pubs and a micro brewery all easily walkable and a great location for Matlock, Bakewell, Buxton and most of the Peak District tourist locations. Hilary was an excellent host and we would highly recommend.

My son lives in Belper so always a pleasure to visit! This property was well kept and a pleasure to stay in from us both!

We stayed for Download 2025 and it was amazing! Very nice area and the communication was always fast and clear. We would absolutely stay here again!
