Convenient Preston Retreat w/ Private Yard!

KatieRating, 5 stars4 months ago
We came from California for my dad’s funeral in Preston and booked the house for 3 nights. The communication was great from the start, the house was as described and it was clean and cozy with plenty of extra blankets and pillows. The location was perfect for us. Thank you again!

Hemsley Ranch and Guesthouse

RachelRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hemsley Ranch! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how immaculately clean the home and guest home were — every space was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully prepared. It truly felt like a home away from home. Our host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making check-in seamless and ensuring we had everything we needed throughout our stay. One of the highlights was definitely the beautiful horses on the property! It was such a treat to watch them grazing peacefully just outside — a serene, almost magical experience that added to the charm of the ranch setting. If you're looking for a peaceful, well-maintained retreat with genuine hospitality and a touch of rustic elegance, this is the place. Highly recommend!

Mountain Ridge | Dry Campsite #3

This was great deal for a campsite with stunning views, pet-friendly, and fun wildlife and cattle nearby to enjoy. This is very much country camping with the lovely sound of birds singing to wake you up. My pup had a blast running the hill and playing ball in the grass. We enjoyed a restaurant nearby and loved the whole area. If you are driving through the area and looking for a pretty and private camping spot, this is the place.

Mountain Ridge | Dry Campsite #2

It is a camp ground with a great view . I did not stay too long but it was because i had no cell service. Great place, I only booked it as a way to have a place to wait for another host to tell me if I could book with them. Cord was ok with an early check in so that I could wait till I got an answer from the host in the afternoon. I left because of no cell service so I could not check any messages from potential hosts

Huge Preston Cabin w/ Game Room & Mountain Views!

Evolve was so-so to work with. Sometimes they took days to respond on the Airbnb app. However, they were honest when I pointed out a price error when I changed my reservation. They gave me the correct price which was lower. Denise at the lodge was great to work with. She gave us a full tour at the beginning, telling us how all the different heaters worked, locating breaker boxes, and letting us know about any electric quirks of the guest Lodge. (such as, if a certain light switch was off, what it affected.) She was available by cell phone and even asked us if we needed anything a couple days in. Nobody had brought garbage bags even though we were supposed to and I think she brought some over. She was patient with some family groups who were running late at checkout; she had the cleaning crew start downstairs. Our group was there for Christmas and she was fine with us decorating. She and some apparent family members kept the parking lot plowed. She did send emails with a lot of stuff to read before we got there. It was kinda too much to read haha. The guest lodge was wonderful for our group of about 25, with lots of young grandkids. Overall we felt like we got more for our money because we were willing to drive to the boonies. The scenery was beautiful. We did use the discount at the nearby hot springs and enjoyed it. kitchen: The kitchen and dining room setup was functional, although it's noticably missing pantry space. The kitchen is pretty well equipped with pots, pans, cookie sheets, spatulas, serving trays and a toaster, but missing larger appliances such as a rice cooker or roaster. It does have a small crock pot. There is a spice cupboard with common spices in it. There are some bowls and plates and silverware as well but you probably want to bring paper bowls and plates and cups. There are two high chairs and a Bumbo. living space: There are two "living room" areas, one big enough for all of us, with a toy corner too, stocked with toys and books and horses on sticks. The big living room has a big TV and an electric piano. There's a lock on the piano for if you are worried about kids. There is a sound system that we were able to connect to that has speakers in the TV living room and the big dance hall. However, the sound wasn't great in the dance hall; we couldn't really hear the bass and only one row of speakers was working. Also it wasn't Bluetooth and the cable was janky. And you had to be in the big living room to control the music. We ended up mostly using our own block rocker Bluetooth speaker. Maybe they'll get it updated. But the kids loved running around in the big dance hall. There are large folding tables and chairs in the corner so it could be used for events. In our case those tables and chairs were used to make blanket forts. :) The big dance hall has a fake fireplace as one of its heaters. There are plenty of tables around for crafts and board games. There's also a whole shelf full of board games. bedrooms: All the bedrooms are in the basement except one. I can't speak for everyone but our bed was comfy. there are a bunch of foam mattresses in the loft you can put on the floor to sleep more people. Some people in our group slept on a mattress by the fake fireplace. Bathrooms: 4 bathrooms with toilets. Zero bathtubs. 3 showers that are separate from the toilets. Bring your own shampoo, bring your own towels. laundry: 2 washers and 2 dryers, bring your own soap. internet and cell coverage: The internet was better than we expected, but still not that great. We were able to stream a live video for church, but two-way video calls would sometimes freeze up or the sound would be messed up. Disney plus worked fine on the TV. (our own account). T mobile did not have cell coverage. There's a landline there for safety.
