Vickie's beautiful house in the woods is the real deal; we've had around 50 (almost all excelkent) Airbnbs in our lives and her house was the most inviting of any, bar none. She has thought of everything as a host and her house is extremely comfortable and feels completely renovated to the studs. beautiful large kitchen, incredible comfortable beds, fantastic shower and tub, awesome living room and chairs, games, TV, list goes on and on. Completely updated amenities, lacking nothing. Nicer than our house in Boston. Amazing for my family of 5. I'll just boil this down - Vickie is THE quintessential host and if you are EVER are lucky enough to have the chance to stay in her private, large cabin in Rangeley amid beautiful surroundings, book it immediately and have a blast taking in all the area has to offer in ultimate comfort. Thank you for the pampering Vickie!

Terrapin Hostel is very, very quaint and feels like a step back in time to an earlier day--in a good way. The "hostel" doesn't really give off strong hostel vibes; it doesn't have a shared bunkroom, for example, so I'd say it feels much more like a hotel, just without a private bathroom and with a full (shared) kitchen. The hostel is extremely clean and very homey. I would definitely not hesitate to stay again.

Such a beautiful house and space. Very clean and cozy and has a lot of character. Appreciated the self serve breakfast too. We came to ski at Sugarloaf and it was a perfect place to stay for that. Thank you!
