The cottage is located on the banks of the clear Marukawa River. Gifu is famous for Shirakawago and Hida Takayama, but Enbara is also a nice place in the mountains, although it is inconvenient. The scenery of the mountains and rivers is beautiful, and it is a place rich in nature where monkeys and deer appear. The Enbara River is known as the most beautiful underground water in Japan and a famous spot for its light, and the inn is located about 800 meters from the spring water point of the underground water, so the water transparency is excellent. You can also see the light from the inn. On summer mornings, depending on the weather conditions, you can see a magical view of the sunlight pouring through the trees. The water in the Marukara River is cold, but in summer the children play in the river energetically. The riverbed is much cooler, so people can escape the heat and cool off. A little downstream there are several river play spots, and the water is clear everywhere and it feels good to swim beautifully. The water of the river shines emerald green in a slightly deep place, and the scenery of rocks and moss is also wonderful, and it is a healing spot where the mind is purified. There is a deck facing the river on the second floor of the inn, so you can relax while watching the river, BBQ, swing in a hammock while listening to the river, or refresh yourself in the tent sauna.

It is a quiet, Japanese-style accommodation where the owner lives. 🏡 With a site area of 180 tsubo, a wooden single-story building, 6 rooms, and 10 sets of futons, it is ideal for two families or groups. (Up to 4 cars can be parked) It is also a 30-minute walk from Fukui Station, a 5-minute drive or 30-minute walk from Phoenix Plaza, a 35-minute drive from Sandom Fukui, a 1-hour drive from the Dinosaur Museum and Ski JAM Katsuyama, a 10-minute drive from Siren Dream Arena, and a 10-minute walk from the entertainment district of Katamachi. Although the owner lives on the premises, the guests and the accommodation space are completely separate, and privacy is respected. (The bath (any time) and the washing machine with dryer are shared with the owner.) Pets are allowed, and there is a dog run in the garden where pets can play freely. There is one small dog that barks occasionally, but the living space is separate and you will almost never come into direct contact with the dog. It is in a convenient location with good access to Katamachi in central Fukui, as well as sightseeing and restaurants. Please enjoy a comfortable stay.

The operator of the guest house has changed as of August 2026.Please note that services, house rules, etc. are slightly different for repeat guests. We renovated a two-story storehouse built in the Edo period and turned it into a guest house. It's not very large, but it retains the atmosphere of a traditional earthen-walled storehouse, with thick beams and more. There's a kitchen on the first floor with an IH cooking heater.Fully air-conditioned on the 1st and 2nd floors for a comfortable stay.You can experience the sound insulation, the coolness of the summer, and the warmth of winter. There is a sauna facility about 5 minutes away by car, Anegawa Onsen is about 15 minutes away, and Kita-Omi no Yu is about 20 minutes away. There are many sightseeing spots unique to Nagahama, which are often the setting of history. In addition to the area around Lake Biwa, Japan's oldest railway station building, Nagahama Railway Square, Yanmar Museum where children can play, Kurobai Square, and other activities other than history. You can also enjoy gourmet dishes such as Omi beef, duck cuisine, grilled mackerel with somen noodles, udon noodles with tofu, and salads with bread, duck, and small ayu fish.

We are trying to see if we can make use of the house with a warehouse. My imagination is running wild, thinking of turning the warehouse into a theater room. The warehouse has a BBQ set, outdoor chairs, outdoor tables, fire pits, etc. You can enjoy a tent sauna and BBQ in the large garden. Please inquire when booking if you are interested. * Notes * Due to regional characteristics, there is a large number of Japanese rhinoceros beetles from late March to early April and from November to early December.
