What a WONDERFUL experience. Definitely worth it. Great location and not to mention, warm, inviting, cozy, clean, stylish, and beautiful. I would 100% recommend this place for a restful time away. Nestled in a quiet area of Cromwell, close to wonderful cafes and restaurants making it the perfect getaway. Lovely hosts who take care in providing the best experience for their guests. Thanks for this lovely time, Jessie 🌻

Highview Hideaway

ShonaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
A cosy wee studio-type cabin with the most fabulous views and total peace. If you are a star gazer this is the place to be. As the hosts have said, the last part of the drive is gravel. I found it useful to arrive before dark so I knew where I was going.

Bonspiel Gold Miner’s Stone Huts

RobertRating, 5 stars1 month ago
3 Kids and I stayed for 2 nights, absolutely loved it. As per description, no luxuries and basic 150year old miners hut but that’s why we stayed. Kids loved paddling with kayaks, panning for gold, biking around paddock and rocks, walking and exploring not to mention lighting the fire, toasting marshmallows and helping cooking/ keep camp tidy. If you are after an authentic, original experience highly recommend. Was a minus 3deg frost but bedding kept us warm. We will try to come back in summer so kids can swim in the weir and have more daylight to explore. Thanks for the Easter eggs, milk and bread too Sue

Such a cute wee hideaway, located just out of Wānaka but perfect for the quiet weekend we wanted. Sally was great with her instructions and communication was 5 star. Had everything you needed and you can tell thought was taken in making sure guests are comfortable. Beautiful views to top it all off

About Thyme - Bed & Breakfast

AngeRating, 5 stars5 months ago
It is actually quite hard to put into words how well considered, beautifully laid out and restful Helly's place is. But I am keen to give it a go! The attention to detail, generous supplies - including delicious home made treats, natural products and linens etc - and setting combine to create a unique and wonderfully memorable experience. With just the right balance of attentiveness and respect for privacy, we felt relaxed, free to come and go and to indulge in the outdoor baths - a perfect addition. We loved watching the deer, sheep, chickens and other wildlife (quails!), playing petanque and having BBQs. There is a sense of 'hiding out' - of time being 'suspended' - and yet being handy to town, the Rail Trail, places of interest and even the wider area, (we highly recommend Hayes Engineering!), if you are wanting to get out and 'do'. We are so happy to have discovered and enjoyed this labour of love and the hospitality of a marvellous host.
