If you are more into pure relaxation, you can enjoy the peaceful idyll and beautiful nature in Østerby, where our lovely cottage is located less than 100m from a beautiful and undisturbed beach.

Marielund: A scenic farmhouse by the beach

Marielund is a danish farmhouse (est. 1907) in a beautiful and isolated spot right by the baltic sea. It has been completely refurbished, and includes modern amenities, a fireplace and good quality Scandinavian country style furnishing (completed in May 2020). Stunning location, 40 meters from a private beach with direct access through the large south facing garden. Enjoy the sounds of the sea, birdsong and the nights sky in absolute privacy, with no neighbours or tourism to be seen!

Staying in our 75 square meter vacation apartment gives our guests a very special sense of vacation. When you open doors and windows, the sounds of the forest, the garden and the sea birds flow in. A scent of fresh sea air meets your nostrils. Our guests also experience the light as something very special. Especially when the evening sun sends its rays down on the surrounding islands, you have to pinch yourself to make sure you're not dreaming.

The house accommodates up to 10 people and is ideal for large families or several couples. The barn is directly surrounded by fields and meadows, has a large loft-like living, sleeping and dining area with a large terrace facing the garden and the natural swimming pond. A 2-person bedroom, adjacent to the fully equipped eat-in kitchen, allows a total of 4 people to stay. Starting from the hallway, the spacious sauna area including shower room and toilet opens up. A window door allows direct exit to the outside area from there.

Every corner of the house exudes old-fashioned charm and takes guests on a journey back in time – a unique combination of historical atmosphere and modern comfort. Since the house dates back to the 1800s, it has retained its original charm – including a slightly lower ceiling height than modern buildings. Guests over 180 cm should be aware of this.

The building - part of a former farm - was built in 1914 and has been guest rooms since 1940. In 2024/2025, the building in the 4th generation was extensively renovated to the latest standard with a lot of love for detail. Enjoy the quiet location with private access (200 meters) to the natural beach "Norgaardholz" directly on the Baltic Sea coast in Angeln / Schleswig-Holstein.

Double room Emma farm with brewery

Our farm has been family-owned since 1870. In our annex there is a cozy newly designed double room. With us in the main house you can enjoy your breakfast (for €16.50 per person extra) with a magnificent view of the garden! In addition, our son is a brewer and the Weltbrauerei is located on our farm.
