Location Opened in May 2024. Located in the heart of Takayama's historic district, Makoto-ya Ojin is a stylish inn in 1-chome, Ojin-cho, Takayama City, where the good old Japanese landscape remains. In front of our house, which is sandwiched between the Hida-Buri Highway that connects the former Toyama and Takayama, there are the Nissho-bu Mingei Kan and the Yoshima residence, which are important cultural properties that show the rich cultural assets of Japan, and this area is designated as a preservation district for traditional buildings. You can enjoy the old town and beautiful scenery while experiencing historic buildings. It is a 2-minute walk to Miyagawa Morning Market and a 5-minute walk to Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine, the site of the autumn Takayama Festival. The festival stall in this area is called Hōmeita, and it has a variety of decorations such as a palanquin and sculptures (1-minute walk to the stall). It is a spacious Japanese quaint historic value house with a spacious 4SLDK building area of 190 ㎡ or more. The bath and toilet (2 places) are separate, and the bedroom can be separated by a fusuma to keep a private space. The kitchen and appliances were all newly purchased in 2025. Enjoy sightseeing in Hida Takayama in a comfortable space. There is also an old Japanese warehouse called Kura (Kura), so you can feel the history. ◆ Free parking… located 3 minutes on foot (220 meters). Please park at the nearby coin-operated parking lot from the second car. * Takayama Station... 18 minutes on foot * Old townscape of Takayama... 5 min walk It is also easy to access representative sightseeing spots in Takayama, such as Takayama Jinya and Takayama Festival Street Kaikan. Oomae-ke, Takayama City

A house that combines a traditional Japanese house with a Western-style house reminiscent of Taisho Romance and Showa Retro. The small but dignified Japanese garden, built over 100 years ago, welcomes you to the private rental inn, "Dai-mae house". This inn, "Daimae", is located in a temple complex to the east of the Takayama Basin. If you go up the stairs along the mossy stone wall from the road, you will be greeted by a protruding pine tree. When you open the lattice doors, you can see a Japanese garden on the right that seems to have been built over 100 years ago. Enter the front entrance, and enter the living room from the tatami mat hallway, from where you can see the Japanese garden. Further down the hall is a tea room, where you can sit and watch the Japanese garden, which is small but has a sense of elegance.

This is an old house built 221 years ago, located in the center of Tsumago-juku. The 20-tatami living room has a sunken hearth (currently unavailable) and you can enjoy the old Japanese private house. There are 3 bedrooms, so you can stay with a large number of people, such as family and friends. No meals are provided. You are welcome to use the full kitchen freely. There is a backyard at the end of the dirt floor that continues from the entrance, and you can walk around freely. Equipped with WiFi and an automatic lifting table, teleworking is also possible for long-term stays. Please have a relaxing time in this quiet old house. We look forward to seeing you ！
