If you are lucky, you can also experience Cruise ships, King ships and large sailing ships, go by. Sandhornøy has a rich wildlife and just outside the lake house you can experience moose, deer, hares, otters, eagles and grouse. In the summer, Finnvikhaugen is the perfect place to experience the midnight sun and in winter you can experience the aurora borealis. There are great hiking trails and the possibility of a summit tour.

If you just want to relax, the large terrace is perfect for sunbathing and barbecuing or just relaxing with a good book. Here you have everything you would need for a comfortable vacation. If the weather is bad you have panoramic views to the natural elements from the inside.

We welcome open-air guests to our great cabin in Holmsundfjorden in Gildeskål, 1 hour drive south from Bodø. The cabin is idyllic and undisturbed all the way down by the sea. The cabin has a boathouse with a 14 foot boat with 10 HP outboard motor. The cabin also has a great private sauna bar all the way down by the water, and an outdoor jaccuzzi (this is new by July 2025). Formidable hiking and fishing opportunities await you in Gildeskål, and we are happy to suggest top tours and smaller family trips for you.

Amazing cabin property with spectacular sea views.

The cabin is located 100m from the parking lot. From here there is a relatively steep ATV road down to the cabin (100m) and further down to the sea (50 m). ATV is available for transportation of people and goods from parking space to the cabin. By the sea is boathouse w/quay, landing and floating jetty. Naustet is a fantastic recreational area. There are large outdoor areas, table/chairs, fire pans and life vests. Newer boat available for rent during the summer months, either for cozy trips or for fishing.

In this peaceful and spacious place, the whole group will be comfortable. 4 bedrooms, private TV room, workplace with a view, dining area both in the kitchen and in the living room. Nice view from most rooms. Spacious terrace and large lawn. The house is newly renovated in its original 50-60s style, focusing on the environment and reuse. Sandy beach and the sea is just nearby. We have wild and beautiful nature around us on all sides, and bright summer nights as well as winter storms can be enjoyed here.

See the sign "Sundsfjord" to the left. After 200 m. take the first to the right agains the houses/tomannsboligene. -Natur: Sundsfjordfjellet og laksefiske/salmon fishing 400 m. (Mindre,gammel motorbåt og fiskestang kan lånes). Shop: 15 min. to Inndyr (coop open every day) and 30 min. drive to Ørnes.
