The Carriage is set on tracks where the original line ran through Ullock on the fringe of the Lake District National Park, with the river Marron running below. Relive a unique journey with the addition of being able to step out onto the platform for sunbathing, breakfast or your evening meal then retire to the antique king sized bed with dressing room, ensuite and Eden toiletries.

We've even gone the extra mile by installing 7ft hydrotherapy hot tubs at each of our pods which allows our guests to fully appreciate the panoramic views of the fells.

Many walks and cycle routes from the cottage doorstep. Situated very close to Ennerdale Water & the C2C and wainwright coast to coast routes. Easy access to western fells and solway coast.

You will have the house to yourselves - we will be far away, but contactable should you have any questions or issues. It's self check-in and check-out. Dating back to 1695 (as engraved on the fireplace in the kitchen), the cottage retains many original features but has been sympathetically modernised. The cottage resides within our farm, Terrace Farm with open countryside and panoramic views of the Lakeland Fells and numerous Wainwrights including Melbreak, Whiteside, Low Fell, Hopegillhead to name but a few.

The Mews, cosy barn for 2-4 people.

The Mews is a beautifully converted barn, once part of a larger farm and is now one of a small complex of buildings, surrounded by farmland and overlooking the hills and valleys of the NW Lake District. This location is the most peaceful and picturesque area and is perfect for walking, cycling, running, open water swimming etc.... or for those who like to take things a little easier it is perfect for day trips into the Lakes and toward the lesser known scenic west coast.
