Ensuite double room on English/Welsh borderWelcome back! We’re following Covid-19 cleaning guidelines but please contact us first if you need more detail. Kington is a small market town off the beaten track in Herefordshire but on the Welsh Border. Our cottage is in a quiet, secluded spot in the town whose amenities include food stores, cafes, takeaways and pubs. Offa’s Dyke Path passes within about 300m of our door. If you stay 2 nights when walking the Path, we can collect/deposit you from/to the trail free of charge.

There is a wet room downstairs and an Aga to sit by in the kitchen. The night skies are dark, the bedding is comfortable the surroundings are peaceful and relaxing. Stunning rural location 4 miles from Hay on WyeThe property is a self contained annexe on the side of a stone farm house situated above the town of Hay-on-Wye, looking towards the Black Mountains, with fields that run down to the Offas Dyke pathway. It is an ideal base for walking, enjoying the River Wye or visiting Hay itself. We are very animal friendly and dogs are welcome , but will need to be kept on a lead when in the proximity of the free running poultry and sheep.
