The Old Reading Room West Stafford, Dorset.

The Victorian Reading Room of West Stafford is of historical importance. Used before the war as a Reading Room for the villagers and estate workers, the newspapers were provided, the village shop in the late 1930s, then a workshop and a store room for the church. We have now lovingly restored, decorated and furnished this amazing building into a cosy self catering holiday retreat, "far from the madding crowd" Open plan, comfy double sofabed, wood burner, country walks and fabulous village pub.

We are situated 6 miles from Dorchester, and within easy reach of many Dorset attractions; Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door, Corfe Castle, The Purbeck Hills, Kimmeridge, Southwest Coastal Path, Bovington Tank Museum, Monkey World, Weymouth, Swanage.

This newly decorated self contained 1 bedroom annexe has a fully equipped kitchen & in the county town of Dorchester, the birth place of Thomas Hardy. It is a perfect base to explore the beautiful countryside and Jurassic coast! The town’s amenities are only a short walk away including the new Brewery Square development. The Hideaway

Cozy and stylish suite. You have a private entrance and staircase, cloakroom, living area, bedroom, en suite bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities, microwave, fridge, free WiFi, Smart TV, and Bose soundbar. Although there is no kitchen, you have a microwave and there are 3 village pubs that all offer delicious home cooked food. There is also a fabulous well stocked village shop. We have 2 friendly cats but they can easily be kept out of the space if required.
