It is a 10 min hike to the Escarpment Lookout, and roughly a 25 min hike to your canoe on a small lake. There is a picnic table, firepit, outdoor gazebo bar, seasonal outdoor shower and private outhouse. The cabin comes with a map of 30km of trails for you to hike or snowshoe. No neighbours within 500m in any direction. Possibility of occasional guest cars going past.

The cottage was a home away from home, clean, spacious and a perfect getaway from the hustling city life. Very clean and comfy beds, spacious living and kitchen area. Amazing views of the beautiful lake and loved our everyday visitor, the blue jay and other chirping birds. We had a great time kayaking and exploring the peaceful lake. A group of 15 family and friends had the best time at this cottage created the best memories that we all will keep close and thanks to this amazing cottage we were able to do so. The place has been added to the list of places to revisit and rebook. Also would like to talk about the amazing host, Tabita she was more than just a host, she was amazing, responded to all our questions quickly and was very considerate for calling to ask how our check in was and if we had any trouble finding the cottage and if we had any questions once we checked in. A very amazing host she is. Overall, fantastic and the best getaway to relax and have loads of fun

My family and I had an amazing stay! To begin with the property is so big there’s so much to do! The wildlife is incredible, during our stay we saw multiple herons, baby turtles, frogs, as well as heard some howling at night! The kids were out all day by the beach playing, the water is really shallow so it was super easy to play with them! The home was immaculate! Each room was so clean and well thought out! Definitely will be booking again!

A very nice lakeside stay in the country. The cottage was spacious and clean and offers a great view. We very much enjoyed the entertainment too; plenty of DVDs and boardgames. Matt was very responsive and helpful host. Would stay there again!

Naomi and Garth's rustic cottage under the pines was the perfect spot for a week-long work and vacation retreat. The best part was being so close to the water, watching and listening to the waves, from the dock, the screened in porch, or the bed. Swimming in the sun was great. Everything worked well, including the wood stove for colder nights. Great location, everything was nearby, including hikes, coffee shop, groceries, and even local pie. We'd visit again!

This was a great location and cottage. There was nothing major to comment on. It would have been nice if there were trails within walking distance but there's lots to do at the cottage itself (canoes, kayaks, pool table, lots of lawn space). There was a good, comfortable amount of space for all of our guests to have their own room. Ping was very responsive when messaged with any questions.

I will highly recommend this place. The house was absolutely amazing, infact better than the listed photos. It was very clean and had all the things you would need. Jim had taken care of every small detail, and went out of his way to ensure we had a pleasant stay - from giving us additional utilities to accommodating our request for a late checkout. He was also very responsive and courteous. We had a lovely time here and would definitely be coming back again. Special mention for the neighbors, who were very nice and friendly. Our kids ended up spending more time playing in the neighbor's backyard :) Thank you Jim for hosting us!
