Great place to stay! Would definitely go back. Cannot speak about the interaction with the host because I never needed to be in contact, but the cabin was very clean, very spacious (way more space than photos depicted), amazing views from the balcony, fully equipped, etc. Super secluded and quiet place. Loved everything about it! Thank you

We had a wonderful stay and would happily return for another stay at this beautiful cabin! The cabin is clean, comfortable, and well-stocked. We felt cozy, safe and relaxed during our entire stay. One thing we were curious about prior to the trip was the proximity to other homes. This cabin is very close to other homes. It was cold during our visit so most people were not spending time outdoors but I would imagine that in the warmer months, you’d have plenty of company enjoying the river and back decks together. This isn’t a problem at all- it’s not crowded, but if you are looking for more seclusion, we thought this would be helpful to know. We are looking forward to visiting again soon!

This was such a beautiful cabin for our family getaway. It literally had everything we needed and so much more. It was perfect for the R&R we desired and when we wanted to get out and about they had tons of recommendations and information on local must sees. We would definitely book again and hope to again one day soon! Highly recommend. You won’t be disappointed.

We loved our stay; we are planning already on coming back next year. the house is big and has everything you may need just like at home. On our last night the power went out and the generator kicked in right away and ran all night. We stayed in the property our entire stay, do hike the nature trail; you'll love it. Ken and Sandy’s Place was wonderful. Tucked away along the river, we enjoyed all the porches on all levels of the house. The hot tub was perfect and we saw deer every day we were there. Wonderful couple of days and we would absolutely return.

The Cabin is set right on Carters Lake. The view from the wrap around porch is gorgeous. Everything was exactly as described and the price was very reasonable. If you’re a morning person, going out on the porch a half hour before sunrise and watching the night turn into day over the lake is just beautiful. This was fantastic for our three night stay. On a longer stay, I think the lack of amenities (no internet, washer dryer, you are the dishwasher) would have worn on me. Still 5 stars because all of that was disclosed before renting, and they delivered exactly what they described, and that view…

LOVED this space & the view! The house was sparkling clean, games & entertainment are provided. We just hung out in the house for the weekend and enjoyed the incredible view. Before we arrived, We requested an early checkin and I was disappointed that they were unable to accommodate us. When we arrived, I understand why. They were absolutely slammed for the weekend and the housecleaners were still working at 3:40 (check-in was at 3). Not a big deal, we were on vacation so we went out and grabbed a few things we needed for the night. I HAVE to say this about the company that runs this property. Outside of my norm, we failed to sweep the house looking for any items we may have left behind before we left. The checkout is at 10 so we were packing as quicky as possible. Well, we left our daughters snuggly (Eeyore, in case anyone spots him there please contact them) & my laptop (Eeeekkkk). They have been AMAZING shipping my laptop back & trying to locate Eeyore. My daughter is heartbrokenhe can't be found but I have faith he will turn up. Thank you ladies for everything you've done to help us.

Beautiful views. Towels were a bit small (hotel sized), and the bed was not terribly comfortable, but the location made up for it. My husband loved the hottub. My niece and nephew loved the downstairs space with the bunks and gameroom. If you want to stream TV, bring your smart device- the TV doesn't have all the apps. Overall the cabin was great. Cozy living space and plenty of space for our joint family vacay!

Nick's place is a great choice for anyone looking for a home away from home. Great location close to blue ridge and about 1.5 hours from Helen. It was the perfect place to decompress after a day of exploring. Hot tub was a huge plus and bathroom was very clean. Overall very happy with my stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin, was clean, decorated for Christmas which was fun, well set up. We enjoyed the deer from the screened in porch every day.

Beautiful home, peaceful location, amazing view. Plenty of room, (there were 9 adults in our group), kitchen well equipped. We spent a lot of time outside taking in the nature and wildlife. We saw many deer along neighborhood road and in the back yard. I found a local massage company that does in home services so some of us had massages and facials outside on the ground/lowest level. That was absolutely amazing. We had instacart deliveries so that was a convenient perk. I would highly recommend Heavens Gate and would definitely stay here again.

This cabin is fantastic and Joeseph and Lorena were great at communicating. I ended up proposing to my girlfriend at this cabin and they were accommodating to make everything perfect. There were so many thoughtful gestures like a personalized sign and have other cool things like deer feed and bird feed. The pictures of this cabin don’t do it justice! Views are amazing, clean, and all of the games you could ever want to play. The only thing I would note before you book is make sure you put the correct amount of people staying. Even though the cabin sleeps 8, I only reserved with 2 because I didn’t know how many were staying. There is a fee for anyone over your reserved amount. I ended up having 3 others stay for a total of 5 and still had to pay extra for them. Something to note. Everything was amazing and would recommend to anyone to stay here!

I would definitely stay here again! It was an amazing cabin and a lot bigger than what it looks like in the pictures.

Place was great and peaceful

The cabin was lovely and in great condition. There were issues of communication steming from what Airb&b shares with the host. If this could get worked out, I would have no complaints. We did have an issue of septic flooding on our final night which the host was highly apologetic about and quick to address even though it was late at night and below freezing. The host was friendly, the resort was nice, and the trails would have been so fun if we had not been too cold to walk to explore them. Had it been warmer, there was beautiful scenery and much to explore. Fair warning, apple maps works great on the resort property but Google maps will take you in crazy directions.

Great little getaway on a beautiful calm quiet lake. the house itself also has a lot more space that it appears to have in the description.

Loved the cabin. Great for a getaway. Had a great time and hopefully will be coming back soon!

Terri was a wonderful host. She gave us hiking and restaurant ideas and was accommodating to our 1 year old who can be a handful. I highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Big Canoe.
