“Wow!!! What a beautiful place, we had the most amazing few days staying here. Every little detail was on point, despite it being freezing outside we were so cosy inside, the bed had electric blankets and the covers and pillows were so comfortable, so many nice touches around the place, extra fleecy blankets, heat strips, electric heaters, hot water bottles. Way way above expectations!! Bath tub and telescope on the decking outside, beautiful seating area to watch the sunset and sunrise, fairy lights, lanterns, candles. Annie has completely nailed this destination and we are so sad to leave. Kitchen essentials are all covered, even a gorgeous bottle of wine for us to enjoy. After an incredible two night stay we feel completely relaxed and refreshed and we will certainly be back. Would love to experience the place in warmer weather to use the bbq and have the front of the tent open. On top of all the above, we had a minor issue getting the car started to travel home, and Annie’s Mum came within minutes, Jump started us and sent us on our way. Couldn’t be happier. Our dog Frankie had the time of his life running round, he was totally free and safe to roam the property. Best little break we’ve ever had. Oh and one more thing, all the gorgeous shower gels, creams, bath stuff and little fragrance sprays around the tent made the whole thing smell amazing. Loved it soooo much xxx”

“We had a very relaxing time at Anthony and Sarah’s place. The view is spectacular and the whole area is beautiful and very accessible, with only a short amount of well-graded unsealed road right at the end. This is a place that clearly has much care and pride put into it, with lots of welcoming touches. Anthony and Sarah were great hosts, who responded quickly while booking, met us at arrival and then were available without being intrusive. The cottage is a good distance from the house, allowing privacy for both guests and hosts, while being within reach if needed. Both the sofa bed and main bed were very comfortable, and cosy even during a cold frosty night. The sunny verandah overlooking the valley was hard to leave, and we hope to make a return visit!”

“Our tribe of five was in hideaway heaven stealing away four nights in July at Eldorado Cottage. From the aspect to the furnishings, to the surroundings of the property, we were instantly enthralled and boots parked. It's hard to find rural perches, as visitors, where you feel genuinely and privately embedded in the countryside like this, with the full seduction of sweeping vistas and craggy gums and gnarled back country to explore. Our kids revelled in collecting bracken and playing stick races in the dam and charring marshmallows on the fire pit. Great space for cooking and lounging - it was so nice to arrive to a warming fire - and so much care, flair and thought in the gorgeous textures and touches of the interiors. We were glad for our thermals first thing in the morning and hopping off to unheated bedrooms at night away from the pot belly, being the peak of winter, but beds are snuggily set up and all part of the climes! Great history and present in nearest townships of Taralga and Laggan. Very friendly and charming General Store in Taralga and brilliant coffee and bites at next door 'Grand Ettie' on your way in or out. Argyle Inn was not open when we were there because of COVID, nor the Laggan Pantry or pub, but all looked great and we were thoroughly satisfied being holed up in our cottage. Oh, great story as well behind the Lindner sock shop in Crookwell and worth a call-in to support a great local business. Thank you to Elise and family for sharing what you have created!”
